#Implement IOBT

And for people who can't do iobt. (Literally everyone on non quest devices)
Tf is IOBT?
I had to go to the SLZ discord to search it up, because Google was giving me all kinds of random uses of the same acronym
It means inside out body tracking
Would be nice if OP put that in their post
I thought he was talking about transformers
im still lost
Using the headset’s cameras to actually watch and track your IRL body movements, I think
ah, so just a quest thing pretty much?
me too
though i am hoping for at least hip tracking eventually, im not exactly hopeful for it
I bought a groin tracker from Ali Express…
Was not what I expected
[comment made for comedic purposes only]
id reccomend not trying to cheap out when it comes to trackers, it never ends well
i tried slime trackers, didnt work
well, they did work. just not well
Every once in a while I’ll see if there is a cheap haptic device of some sort
Beacause I don’t want a full haptic vest or anything
But I think it would be cool to feel the vibration of gunfire, for example
majority of vr devices are meta headsets, and the quest 3s is $300
its baked into the quest 3, and itr2 is in early development, we already had a hotfix to help with issues related to the body, I think IOBT would help a lot
Yea but 1, they're not all VR headsets. And 2, this isn't a game on the meta store
They could just add body tracking in general
Which would be great
Is itr2 not coming to quest? (Also IOBT works with streaming pcvr to the headset)
And I agree that FBT in general should be added too
ITR2 is not confirmed coming to quest
It may, or may not
I think it's worth looking into, especially if it's not that complicated to implement
I'm sure the systems needed to implement it are similar to those for FBT
I'm going to guesstimate that if you have FBT implemented. You have IOBT implemented aswell
If Quest can handle the conversion from iobt to fbt (I'm gonna guess it can do that, cus why wouldn't it be able to) then you have it
I hope so

Ok so basically they're working on the pcvr version and then the possibility of a port comes later
Still I think IOBT or even just FBT would be a worthy addition to the complex and detailed inventory system the game currently has
Right now it feels very jank and difficult to work with
I'm curious how well haotics could implement the sensation.
Is it gonna feel like my phone vibrating or can they give the feeling of a rifle kick.
I've got an old mk3 smle 303 rifle, firing that doesn't kick your shoulder but you can feel it push you. VS my 12 gauge single barrel (we nicknamed the water pipe), firing that feels like someone swinging a piece of timber into your shoulder.
I’ve never tried any gun stocks or anything, but I know there are some products that will simulate recoil on your shoulder or on the controller itself
I’d be interested in a simple haptic strap if:
They were cheap
And if they actually were programmed properly like the haptic vests are
The problem is that afaik, they aren’t programmed (to feel gunshots or damage, for example)
But are rather just set up to convert audio to vibration
So it’s just a constant mix of vibrations
🤷♂️
I turn off my controller haptics because they just suck
Not only do they not add to my experience
