#strange flickers in the left eye when on the beta

I have this yellow-white or sometimes navy blue flickering around the left and right edges of my left eye on quest 2, specifically through steam link. I have no idea why this is happening, but it appears to be an issue with the game rather than hardware, as much as it looks like a hardware issue, and it only happens with the most recent beta version of the game.

Yellow-white flickers take up (at most) 1/5th of the screen, and fluctuate in frequency and size. The blue flickers take up most of the screen, but only last a couple of frames at most.

Pc-
Rtx 3080
Ryzen 7 5800x
32gb of ram
Crucial P3 plus (game is installed here)

I don't have any issues with artifacts or flickering in any other games. The right eye is completely fine, as is the VR view from steamVR and the normal game view.

I would test wired, but I don't have a link cable. Anyone have any idea what's up?

# woeful flame Thank you! Is there any news of a work-around so I can play the beta, or will it...

As a workaround, put this line into the GraphicsQuality.ini (“\Steam\steamapps\common\IntoTheRadius2\IntoTheRadius2\Content\ITR2\IniSettings” usually you can find it here) for the graphics quality section that you use. For example, if you have in the game textures set to High:
add it to
[Textures] [High]
Textures=sg.TextureQuality 2
Textures2=CM.r.TemporalAA.UseCMVersion 0
Textures3=CM.r.Tonemapper.UseCMVersion 0

This fixes it, great! It also doesn't cause any issues to just put it in all the fields

Here's an auto install file for this fix that I made for a friend, it applies the fix to all graphics settings (low, medium and high). Extract to ITR2s root directory (where the .exe is)

Actually, I'll put it here

#

Go through this menu, hit Browse Local Files

#

Using the right mouse button, click and drag the .zip file over to the window that just opened. Don't drag it onto any of the files, drag it to the blank space below them. When you release the right mouse button, this menu will pop up.

#

Hit "Extract..."

#

This window will pop up, hit "replace the file in the destination"

#

Job done!

#

*you might need to re-do this if you install a new beta or something, idk.

#

*this also might look a tiny bit different for windows 11, but everything should be roughly in the same place.

I can confirm that this was not fixed in today's patch.

pallid lily

can also confirm it is in the right eye too

For me it has only been left eye so far.

It's particularly bad when health is low. Vision will constantly flash a magenta color.
