🛠️ Description: Playing the game for around 30s and the game will crash with this steam VR error message in the image.
🛠️ Steps-to-reproduce: Just started the game after the main menu, will crash after around 30s moving around doing things normally.
🛠️ Frequency: Always
🛠️ VR headset and controllers: Oculus Quest 2
🛠️ Using Steam VR (for Oculus users): Yes
🛠️ CPU/GPU/RAM:
CPU: 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i9-13980HX Processor 2.2 GHz (36M Cache, up to 5.6 GHz, 24 cores: 8 P-cores and 16 E-cores)
GPU: NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 4070 Laptop GPU
RAM: 16GB DDR5-4800 SO-DIMM x 2

Other notes: This had happened since closed beta version before the open beta launch. I have updated the game to latest version, using fresh save (skip tutorial), and reinstalled Steam VR to ensure steam VR is most up to date. Other game like bonelab has no problem

Alright, lets see

#

I suggest you using steamlink

normal fossil
#

I have been using steam link, but will try airlink

#

if that doesn't work I will give wired a go lol

[EOS] usually means something with SteamVR drivers

#

So basically, it is not our problem - it is SteamVR problem

#

Try AirLink

#

Or Virtual Desktop (which I recommend if you have it)

Check #workarounds

#

There is a way how to fix it

normal fossil
#

Disable TAA or set steam vr as open xr?

ashen wave
#

SteamVR as openXR

normal fossil
#

Alright will try that and see if it fix the steam link problem

#

Haven't got time to play due to life, will try on the weekend

normal fossil
#

seems like my steam VR has always been set as current XR run time, will try again

This worked, though not sure if it was the latest update or if steam link openxr run time is weird

Hmm, if I use meta quest link it shutter real hard. But if I use steam link it doesn't shutter, and as of this version it doesn't crash as often anymore with this same error (but still do sometimes, notably when I start sprinting near anomalies). Maybe some sort of performance issue?

oh well, I will just deal with it. Thanks for helping

#

since the update seems to make it crash less you guys are probably doing something right anyway
