#Have the tide clean up empty ammo boxes, and trash items.

big agree. hell just for performance sake, get rid of trash on tide
I am fairly sure this'll get implemented. the Tide overall is not fully implemented yet (kills you vs randomly teleports you) so i'd assume that's one missing part of implementation aswell.
Collect them, recycle, get money for it, problem solved xD
fair, but it's more oif a consistency concern, i feel like... the tiode washes away all else and resets everything else, so why should it not with our dropped items...
I mean yeah totally. It how it should be, it's how it is in the first game.
the tide had never done that
at least for our items
huh, i could have sworn it did... odd
anything we touch doesnt get wiped in the tide
people would make entire setups out in the tide in itr1
sniping spots camping sites i think someone made a house
it does wipe empty boxes
for the rest you are correct
i was replying to this bit
if they do add in the wipe for empty boxes or dropped items i hope several things happen
1 the items go into a lost and found box
2 its a toggle in the the settings and not something that is forced on the player
3 the player can decide what types of items the tide wipes
some players might want to make a campsite with a story to it
I think it being a toggle in the settings is a good idea
and a bunch of empty ammo boxes can help
I agree with OP, but keep in mind rifle ammo boxes have an even better weight to value ratio than the most common artifact. If you have space to carry artifacts, you should always be taking empty rifle ammo boxes back to sell. Why does UNPSC value empty ammo boxes more than artifacts pound-for-pound? Beats me.
Part of the "Clean up the Radius" project 🤣
I'd like to see the blue bins destroy things. If I throw a half smoked cig in there it will be destroyed. Same as the fireplace did to notes, boxes and other trash in ITR1.
the blue bins do
anything thrown into them is removed when you leave the base
Well I'm just showing my ignorance then 😆
Cheers mate.
Because they can be reloaded. I have a headcannon (that probably isn't too far from the truth, based on one of the notes) that everything you sell, like detectors, weapons, flashlights, ammo etc. all gets recycled back into the shop, one less thing for an underfunded agency to have to try and track down to stick in the shop.
probably a bug where it assumes the box is full or has the full box price set as the minimum price.
