i dont have LIV

Have:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)I7-9700K CPU @3.60GHz 3.60GHz
Memory: 48GB
Graphics: NVIDA GeForce RTX 2080 Super
What VR headset and connection type?
Valve index
^
ill give it a check now
Check this. It should be empty
yep
Is it empty?
yep
you want me to just uninstall steam vr for it quick or just pull cables out my headset?
Nope, just disconnect your VR headset
alright, i uninstalled it to make sure i could refund it within the week if i couldnt get it to work so just give me a quick second
Sure
You can always refund it within 2 weeks OR until you played 2 hours
alright oki
nope still same error
this is the same bug i kept getting
just an off the wall thought, you're not running an older atlasos are you?
atlaos?
nvm then. its a custom build of windows, someone a while back had same issue and his version didnt have dx12 support
yea no im running normal windows
ok right click the start button and click run, then type dxdiag and post the result
display tab?
ah, i wonder if itr is trying to launch on your in built gpu
is there a way to fix or check it?
random one, do you have a screen plugged into it, and if not can you try
im not sure if i do
just any random tv or monitor into the hdmi port
way back someone found they had to do this for some sw to detect the actual gpu
@inner snow hm
it is actually interesting
nope all display port
@craggy flare Open NVidia control panel and screenshot it pls
There should be setting "Launch 3D application using CUDA cores"
Or something like this
ok try sopmeting in the DP if you can, probably wont help just a random tip i piked up a whileago
or try the above 1st
in here?
oki sorry for this extremely confusing problem lol
yea thank you so much for helping me
Thats weird but
Can you try to add IntoTheRadius2.exe file as a custom game in steam and try to launch using it?
Also
Could you screenshot windows settings:
System -> Display -> Graphics -> Default graphics settings
in here?
is this the normal windows settings?
Yep
actually, are you able to get into a call to make it easier?
oki if we dont figure it out by then im good with doing that aswell if needed
Still not working?
i tried that a while ago
You can try, but probably not gonna help
Do you have latest windows btw?
Check if windows has any updates
any time my pcs tried updating it freezes and crashes
Aha
yea
ah
I would recommend to update windows and see if the issue resolved
yea ill try to see if it will actually work for once and not crash
Okey. I'm waiting for an update from you
oki
Ok, it just refuses to update, but the thing is I’ve played other games with directx and not have this issue, but guess I’ll just not be able to play this game sadly
Unless we can think of another possible fix
@granite socket
Are those games running of DX12? @craggy flare
in this screen add ITR2 executable (Browse Button) and change than the priority to high which shows you GPU, I know other games which not start correctly on the GPU instead they are using the built in GPU on laptops (Minecraft Java edition as example) where these Steps was necessary
I would assume so, I have a lot of other games and have said they do
And this should then set it to actually accept I use directX?
some games or applications cannot switch to the correct GPU at start... thats the reason why its not detect Dx12
Alright, I’ll re-download the game when I get home from work later and try it
Yea I am lol becuase I’ve played games with directX 12 that have worked so I don’t know why this wouldn’t
some games cannot detect the GPU which can run DX12 correctly and selects GPU 0 which is on mostly then the onboard GPU, this settings should force the application to the RTX 2080 when selected which supports DX12
even intel itselfs recommend the settings

Intresting, never knew that, thanks! Ill try it when I can and let you know if it works or not
yea no...it didnt work
Desktop PC or Laptop ?
you have three screen ?
all connected to the graphic card ?
or is one of them connected at mainboard ?
You're probably on an older version of Windows 10, please upgrade to a newer build
That causes this issue with UE5
win + r and then "winver" confirm with ender
windows 10 build 18362 posted in this #1265780055582183476 message
this windows build is over three years old
Then yeah that's 99% likely to be the problem
As I have said multiple times, I literally can’t update my pc it blue screens when done manually or a new version of windows of 10 installed even
@craggy flare Try to run the game in windows 8 compatibility mode
like that?
^
if so still doesnt work...
😦
it cant be just because the update with windows right? becuase it actively says i have directX12
No idea at this point. You can wait for the upcoming hotfix (in a few days) and try there
alright
thanks, doesnt help i have no fucking idea what it even means by directX
ill reinstall DirectX too to make sure its installed
Sad to hear, that it is still not working 😔
What I read in some reddit/threads for the same error on UE5,
cleaning display driver with DDU and reinstalling it fresh can help,
when Windows update is not a way, cause of blue screens.
yea no...the update didnt fix it
Nothing is going to fix it other than updating Windows, it's a UE5 limitation not an ITR2 one
