The advice from the team says to use VDXR with virtual desktop but I immediately got a debilitating stutter in movement. (What I’d call traversal stutter in a flat game) just all over the place.
I was surprised because I hadn’t seen anything like this in all the closed beta videos even from content creators using less powerful computers than mine.

I tried setting virtual desktop to launch in steamVR mode instead and it’s much better.
Performance isn’t perfect but it’s what would expect in early access, more in line with what I’ve seen in the preview videos.

I’m using gtx 3080, 5700X3D, 16gb, virtual desktop sending to Pico4 at high detail. (About 2500px square)

No. No overlays or plugins at all.
I tried VDxr for a while again and at first it seemed to be maybe smoother but after an hour or so the stutters became more frequent and then constant again. SteamVR mode can play for hours and it never changes to begins to stutter like this.

Huh that’s odd I guess

Yeah watching the main chat fly by and most of the talk regarding vdxr seems to be people who are using vd but (amazingly) didn’t get the memo about how they should enable vdxr for this game. And then they get fixed.

But I clearly have the opposite issue! Haha!

I’d be happy to help diagnose or anything if I can. Hard to imagine being a developer and having six thousand different computer configurations suddenly try to play your game…

Hello, I confirm that I also experienced significant lag with VDXR, but after selecting SteamVR as you mentioned, the game became perfectly playable without any lag! (Thanks to you, I can enjoy the game 👍) For information, I'm also using a Pico 4 with an RTX 3090 Ti, an i7 13700K, and 32GB of DDR4 RAM (virtual desktops at ultra)

Pico 4 is the common factor there
