#Can I run the game on a new MacBook Pro?

definitely not
you would need a windows computer to run ITR in the first place
and a powerful one at that
i dont even know how macbook specs compare to typical pc components, but id be concerned as to wether or not it even supports mac
itr 2 is windows only anyways
I remember when i took a mac over a pc
sold it
i seriously doubt itr supports mac, last i heard its a major pain in the ass to get supported on mac and also costs money
it is very much a pain in the ass to get supported on mac
and very pricey just to do it
If you have a powerful Mac and you get Microsoft emulator, then maybe
Not sure about the second game but it has the specs to run the first one for sure
sick thx
Uh, I doubt a mac at all can even run itr 1 either 1.0 or 2.7 as mac's aren't all that powerful when compared to Intel, amd or, nvidia hardware
And apple doesn't like people upgrading the hardware on their products on their own accord
If my oculus can run it, a new Mac can run it. They have powerful processors to compensate for slightly weaker graphics
Oculus is ment to run vr and the pc version of itr 1 is different than the quest version of itr 1
Not just in graphics
Itr and almost all Pcvr games on steam aren’t supported by macOS. Very small chance you will be able to play it unless you emulate windows, and even if that works you still have to deal with if your mac can run it or not.
Yeah, the hardware on mac's can be quite shit just running even non-vr games to begin with
I seen it first hand as I used to know someone who played fallout 4 on a MacBook, with windows loaded on it not emulated, but it ran at like 10 fps when he was playing it mostly due to the hardware limits the system had and not the software
OP said they have a new Mac, the new ones should be able to run it on low graphics settings
But yall are right it’s about a 50/50 chance it works
They won’t know till they try it out
That’s why you get a Microsoft emulator, effectively turns Mac OS into windows
You could also always just dual boot windows on your Mac and run it that way. Who knows if the hardware is good enough though.
I used to use that in my mac days
I remember taking it over a pc
then i bought a pc a few years later
Hell yea brother same I used to play republic commando and old battlefront
Good times
