#Thematic Art
1 messages · Page 4 of 1
ahhh
Actually finding a camera, grabbing it, using the “mag eject” button to eject film or SD card
And then using that on your tablet
is the white katya camera the same model?
No, it was a DSLR model before

"Territory" by Markus Luotero
"Soviet Abandoned Building" by Aliaksandr Andryiashka
I saw that we passed 3000
🇰🇮🎉🎉🎉
😱🎉
what does this mean
lots of zone art
"Anomaly" by Vladimir Motsar
"Fisherman" by Jakub Cervenka
"Gunfight Near Scavenge Point" by Alex Peryan
"Inside the Forest 2.0" by Srabon Arafat
"Dead Man's Letters" by Lamoz571
Dark reflectors would be cool
Actually, I keep arguing for black hole anomalies
That will suck you into the void
It’s like a better version of the managers office area of the intrusion mission
”Le Pilier” by Gabin Faucard
Thats a fucking lightsaber
Obi Wan’s, I think
Oh what the heck
Yeah
Yea i cant believe some french guy turned it into a tower
Actually
It’s in Montpellier
That's so dope
And costs 19 squid
Fuck me thats way outta my budget
19 squid to climb to the top
We need more different types of looting areas or whatever
Like file cabinets
Where you can find files
And fridges with food, and closets and stuff
With doors that function
That's too much
That reminds me, where the fuck are all the doors in the radius
Why do buildings just like.. not have doors
Idk
It's something about performance
But just close all doors when the player leaves the level
And make them do the freeze thing where they just freeze in place
I want some Soviet bunkers
I remember those underground things in bolotky
They were pretty cool
Say what now?
I want them back
: (
They were too hard for the devs and players to handle
pecho land 💔
FRRRR
I would love to have houses that are blocked off somewhere and to get around you must go to another house and jump through a hole in the wall or something
That would be really cool
76% finished
Let's put it out on the market
I'm sure the consumers will love it
🎰
And no door
And no roof
Rope ladder needed
That's the most new yorkian thing I've ever seen
straight flames
Zumbi
We need tunnels so bad
The more I see tunnels
The more I think about itr having none
And then the more violent I get
I wonder if I have any Screen shots of some of the Volga tunnel areas
They are so cool
And could easily be in ITR2
Like around the docks / warehouses
Just like industrial sub-grade basements with roots and things
Yes
I will conduct experiments in these areas
I would love a proper basement safe house
Like the ones in itr1 that are underground, but actual basements
That would be so cool
Imagine if the basements in Bolotky connected together like a maze
That would be so cool
”Soldiers” by Hurmann
We need full mod support
Fan made maps need to come
And itr1 maps need to come back in the form of mods aswell
"Abandoned Apartment" by Isac Crafoord
"Chornobyl" by Brandon D Santos
"Death of a Partisan" by Sergey Zabelin
"Me and the Whole Society" by Macbeth Neil
Woah we got Thematic Gifs now
Oh that's dope
We need this in itr2
Anomalous occurrences
Somebody should make a thread about that
😐
I want some of Madison VR / Blair Witch VR DNA in ITR2
With psyints you can do that #ad #sponsored
🙁
is this amnesia the bunker
i had such a tough time playing that game
id rather shoot myself in the foot than leave the safe room
then i realized the room aint safe 💔
"Mask" by Laszlo Hackl
"Lost But Not Sad" by StupidGiant
"Peace to Cherbobyl" by Engin
"Respite" by Dmitry Vishnevsky
"Soviet Scientific Complex" by Alexandr Nikitin

”Sometimes they come back” by Justin Lazaroff

”Stalker in the Fog” by Uzumaki
I wish me got some more unique interiors
Memorable rooms and places
Like the “hoarder” house in TWDSS was memorable, despite the house itself being a copy of other houses
Or something like the clock room in Madison VR
You gotta make sure the time is accurate
Man I can't wait for the mod support, mods are gonna make this game look so sick
So real
We need these types of cosmetics in itr2

This is what that one hallway felt like in itr1
Where you go to get the film
I was so scared of everything on my first playthrough
Fragments terrified me
I really wish we had some Madison VR vibes / gameplay
Some great atmosphere and puzzles
Probably the scariest VR game
Btw, their electrical panel puzzles are perfect
I’m always talking about having mini puzzlets or interactions that you need to think about
Causes and effects
Well, the breaker switches in Madison are randomized everytime
And are simply process of elimination
Trail and error to flip the correct switches on and off
It doesn’t take long to solve, but just requires a small level of observation and memory
It’s perfect
And I wish ITR2 had stuff like that
And I also wish Metro Awakening would have done something like that
Since their electrical box interactions are all the same and don’t require any observation or thinking
They are just “going through the motions”
You power them up, then flip the same two switches
That’s it… always the same thing
Some small nugget of thinking puzzle like the Madison panels would be great for the sensors, amplifiers, etc in ITR2
Literally, that little bit of thinking can go a long way
Or having to explore a building that has security
And you gotta find your way around by typing in codes disabling alarm systems and shit like that
Or s building that's been mimicked by the radius to do those things
Makes things less bland
🍝🕷️
Nomalie
the radius...
You know, if the fragment cores are mini radii, and they a gushy when you slash them, then maybe the big radius is also gushy
🤷♂️
this one fucks unbelievably hard
Reminds me of dying light kind of
Stalker 2, I think
Looks nice, i hope it comes to PS5 one day
I'd have to ask Delta when if its coming out on it or not, she seems to know these kind of things
I still don't know if I want to play it or not
like, I've bought so many games that I've never played
or played like a couple hours of and said "meh"
like RDR2
or Rage 2
or Deus Ex 2
Eh fair enough lol, the RDR2 story was boring but good
I feel like when a game is tooooooo big or layered or mechanically complex, I just shut down
I like simple things that I can get lost in, but not be overwhelmed
I ALMOST was too overwhelmed by Pacific Drive
but pushed through
and I'm glad I didi
(Diddy?
)
Aft i still need to replay it, downloaded it, played a little and then got overwhelmed so i drove into a ditch
also, idk why, but I'm drawn to the lonely games
Its a bit complex
for some reason, ITR and Pacific Drive appeal to me so much more than games with a lot of NPCs, factions, etc
Have you ever played Firewatch?
Theres a VR firewatch?
Never heard of him lol
there are actually some cool aspects of the VR, like small hand animations that you don't suaully see
because they were already animated that way in the flat screen
like, your fingers wiggle when looking at things
it's cool
and the map has like paper physics
small things that translate so well from flatscreen
That sounds nice lol
Firewatch VR mod. The full game is playable in VR, with room-scale tracking, motion controls, and multiple comfort options.
fwiw
Fwiw?
Is this some wide spread internet slang i haven't gotten yet
Ooohhhh, for what its worth lmfao
Yeah
It means fun, weird, intelligent, weiner
It's a hotdog that's fun weird and intelligent
You shouldn't eat them
They scream
You should just let them co-exist with you
Is this 1.0?
Ye
Love the new pfp, really comforting
Yeah fr
Makes me want to look behind my back and stuff
Very comforting stuff
Lol
look where I just stopped by
I love the creepy radio
exactly the kind of thing I want in ITR2, but randomized
especially if the thing bursts on while you are in the room
and jumpscares the crap out of you
I didn't remember these teacups
Please don't have lead 🙏
: (
It's so sad
Why can't we have itr cups that don't make us stupid
Or kill us
No fair
This timeline sucks 😞
Bruh
I need to buy itr on steam
it's like it's begging for some interactivity
it even has keyholes and fuses on the ground
Imagine having to find fuses to them out into a power box and then the power box flickers on and just short circuits
But like on purpose, that would be cool, observing stuff and it going bad sometimes
Metro Awakening is good with little details like flickering lights and sparking wires
I really want to:
- find a dark industrial space
- find the electrical panel
- it's locked
- find a key
- open the panel
- find a good fuse and connect it
- throw a probe at an electric cube making the rounds
- it activates and jumpstarts the system
- the lights come on
what if the electric cubes also turn off the lights?
Yeah multi interactions would be so cool
so, if you accidentally trigger it, you are like, oh crap
Maybe they can circle an area turning on and off the lights
And maybe the lights are special and they don't make light sensitive anomalies react
Making you progress slowly
Making it so you can't turn on your lights
Here is a little showcase of our first map : Ground Zero. While the map is still not 100% done, we thought is would be great to showcase the latest work and tweaks we've made on it. Including the new weather and sounds systems.

It’s a mod called “Re-Education”
Really well done
An abandoned school
The creator made a lot of custom Soviet school props for the map
Radius cult logo just dropped!?!?!
It is not a cult, it's a sophisticated organization where we mindlessly follow what the radius is telling us
Inshallah the radius is an orthodox christian
From the way im looking at it it kinda looks like a statue of the virgin mary
What could this mean?
Roadside Picnic lab
psyints

babushka feeding the t rexes vro 💔
someone's gotta do it ❤️
all the better to fight our enemies with
they will remember their masters
did you forget why we are raising them?
You gotta learn from Jurassic park
It's the thing 😯
Pobeda 😯
They copied so many things from the ITR devs
😦
Even the cigarettes
So sad 🙁
“Pssst, we’ve been trying to reach you about your sidearms extended warranty”
”hey, um…we noticed you’ve been in the safe house for the whole tide. You good? Is max coming out to play?”
“NO, HES NOT! LEAVE ME ALONE!”
🙁
If I saw that through my peephole
I'm coming out with a flamethrower
And the doom super shotgun
This randomly popped up in my YouTube feed:
Illustrating Roadside Picnic was a long-cherished ambition for award-winning illustrator Dave McKean, who first visited the Zones in art school. In this new edition for Folio, McKean imagines the topography of the Zones in his startling endpapers, printed in green and traced in blocked silver, while the chapter heads draw the reader further into...

something about 1.0 lighting is just perfectly harsh, i dont know how to describe it
I did prefer the 2.0 lighting more overall, but did love the 1.0 lighting
I guess it had more "color" to it
more blue, green, yellow
the fog storms were at least a HUGE atospheric boost in 1.0 vs 2.0
the cracks of lightning!

Yeah, both Dalí
Doing the radius art back in the 50s
The OG surreal zone
This has probably already been posted here but I think it perfectly ecapsulates the vibe I want to see from itr2
Vanno, my beloved
have you seen the game "Beautiful Light?"
it has these vibes

I'm not into PVP extraction games
but if I was...
this one looks insanely atmospheric and cool
Damn, not into pvp games either but looks phenomenal
Please rain CM please😭
the rain doesn't need to be super sophisticated
the rain in Pacific Drive isn't very detailed
but it adds SOOOOOOO much to the experience
especially in VR
it's literally just like translucent grey lines
but when you are there in VR, it is insanely cool
Honestly if they could make it sophisticated though that would be appreciated
yeah, I'm just still bitter that HL:A didn't have water because Valve wanted to make it next gen, when the water in HL2 VR was still AMAZING!
The game might even perform better considering that most performance drops are due to the dynamic lighting
I still need to finish both
I haven't had time to play VR games since beta .13 first dropped
honestly, some of the water and refraction effects from 20 years ago in HL2 hold up so well in VR
the combine shields (the refraction thingies) look SOOOOOOOO much cooler in HL2 VR than they do in HL:A
because Valve didn't want to reuse old effects
so they settled for just lame transparency
instead of 20 year old effects
A lot of modern games affects look flat and boring
I agree
It's disappointing
for some reason, games from like 2014 look better than 2025
these things, btw
An example for me is halo 3 vs halo infinite. The explosions and affects of halo 3 look so much better than halo infinite which was released about 14 years after halo 3
Yeah looking at alyxs shields, it's so boring
dude i really wanna try it
i find it cool cause of the anomalies, and the monsters
is that 0.7?
this is a nice morning vibe
Earlier version of 1.0
tyhis one is so pretty
