I think the G18c really shines when it comes to sliders. When they surprise me, switch to auto and unzip them. Of course, I only carry +P ammo for this gun. If I have a moment first, I'll crouch and move backwards.

When I hear it I just shoot yo into the air to get its attention so I don’t have to deal with it later

To fight them reliably, you want an assault rifle. Otherwise you need to be able to out maneuver them, which isn't easy unless you're near the edge and can tp away.

As long as you don't miss. Head shots don't kill in 1 hit, and I'm not sure they kill in 2.
Speaking of maneuvering, if you dash away after they tp, even somewhat encumbered, you can dodge their attacks.
