im just going to be honest here. i hate the bright blue my little pony OC style rainbow mushes of paint. i think a far more natural and toned down skin would work so much better in this game, and with a point of intrest like a bright crest, but not so bright it cant blend in with the enviroment whatsoever.

Generally you can lock the pixels so that you can't paint outside of them
Or, you can paint all outside and not care much, and then select the area around the lineart and delete all the outside pixels

Ok so my final comment before posting my skin concept. I have made 3 male/3 female patterns for Allosaurus. All I need to do is redo them with shading and lighting then figure out how to make them images. Can't wait to show you guys!
