Male rex, with a darker head like the goose, but with the ability to have darker shades. Why most opens would be dark blues, we should sprinkle int he ability to have a darker red/brown
females should also have the darker opens, maybe more of those dark browns and reds, with less opens to have more blue/red/orange pigmented shades

They would primarily have brighter white/yellow/orange stomach options, and would have that permanent orange side (the shades of the orange[s] can vary)
females, as with the wood duck, are not similar in patterning
because of this, females would not have that orange side, but would instead only have 3 (ish) colors they could work with.
Their primary bodies would be browns and reds, as would the legs and tails
The spot on the head may be the same as the legs and tail, but may be changed to lighter shades of those reds and browns.
The underbelly/stomach would be shades of whites, oranges, and potentially light purples or browns
