Pachy is fast enough to not end automatically as a meal but slow enough that carnivore players still trying. Struthi and campto are getting just ignored most of the time and it becomes pretty boring to play.

This is why I advocate for Alio to get a version of Dasp's "Shatter" ability. That way, an Alio could kill Struthi and Campto but ONLY if it gets a successful ambush on them. It would make playing Struthi/Campto actually engaging because they would actually have to pay attention to their surroundings to survive

I mostly agree. The extra damage is fine and a good added challenge for juveniles. But the fact that they attack things 100 times their size and take a million hits to kill is so irritating. Once you're too big for them to pose an actual danger they should stop attacking you. Except for scorpions and snakes-- I'd be ok with them attacking everything.

Cuz crocs can still hang out int he water fine
groups have their friends do the delivery to bring it back up
theyll kill nongroup members doing it for the food

Water quality doesnt prevent people from camping IC & GPR both even at 0% quality on pvp servers that try turning it on to make people spread out

I've watched multiple servers try it and have to change it back after a month or two because it changed nothing except made things miserable
-# - severs in question were low rules [WS = sz; no killing group members only rules] with a couple servers fast (2hr) growth, and a couple were like.. still took 3-4hrs to growth with quests but had passive growth)

If you want easy to find prey, well ic/hotspots would be it. cause ther eis lot of prey, but to expect it will be a solo hunt when so many dinos around is a bit rough of an expectation.

when animals hunt they dont go striaght into the herd, no they wait on the outskirts for someone to leave the herd. or get left behind, yeah? Xd so going in unga bunga style aint gunna cut it

Groups get way too many benefits vs a solo player, even if it's just the default grouping buff.
It's easier to deal with them ungrouped, they can't see each other's names, HP and sometimes if everyone has a similar skin they can't tell their friends from enemies

From what I've seen on replays when fighting big groups, and then running into them again later, the ones I managed to kill before I died myself were not in the group anymore. Even if temporarily to grow back this helps to aid the issue

Now we just need to limit playables to 1 to avoid switches, or set a timer to play any other creature than the one that just died

Yea, I mostly hunt old critters and proto. Wadiasaurus and big turtle tank crazy amount of hits and give next to nothing for the effort it takes to kill them, so I started to avoid them.

My main complain with aggro critters now is that I can't properly stalk players when they aggro from distance and force you to take care of them. Loudly

Preferably rocky/deep forest, once they bump into anything their speed won't matter. Can't hop away when you get stuck and stopped every 2 seconds and struthi takes a bit to reach max speed after hitting anything at all, which allows for a bite or two at a time

My main gripe is that struthi and campto feel too invulnerable. Playing a prey animal like that should feel kinda scary imo. You should be able to escape almost anything IF you see them first, but you should be in big trouble if you let yourself get ambushed. At the moment, one of them can stand in the middle of green hills checking twitter and know that even if they get bit they can run away before dieing. I think alio with fracture would be the best way to give them a fear of being ambushed. I would probably play a lot more campto if that threat was there.

Dying to a mix pack or mega pack on officials/normal solo is tolerable. You lose some growth and can get back to it. Dying to it here is frustrating cause you have to start from scratch.

I do think there is less mix packing though. Out of all my deaths I’ve only been killed by mix packing once personally. The rest were mistakes on my end. I do also hope they keep this mode it’s the only mode that I play now
