My feedback about the gamemode(?) in its current state:

• Love the rate of growth vs the permadeath, this feels fairly balanced

• It's very difficult to keep medium to large hypercarnivores fed, even with constant critter hunting. I think some of the larger critters need to give more food; or carni hunger drain needs to be slowed, at least in this game mode

• I find myself wishing I could build a nest just for the decoration/long term goal aspect of it. I understand not having the nesting/adoption mechanics in solo, I just want the nest itself lol

• A way to make it harder for players to play as groups in solo, would be if some sort of debuff kicks in if you hang around the same player for too long. Not a speed debuff, but maybe a damage one? This would have to take long enough to trigger for players to stalk though

Any debuff that could be implemented to prevent grouping will only get abused. They need to just allow grouping for same species this way at least it encourages same Dino play

I think the hunger is fine as it is. Hypercarnivores have to be played more aggressively than others, that means they have to attack other players if they get a good opportunity. There are enough Critters to not starve to death but they aren't equally placed over the map. Places like Dark Woods or Young Grove have way more eatable critters than something like Stego Mountains.

I think it would be better if you can't sleep to change but you can safelog to change. That way its still way easier than going to a hc but its harder for people to switch out abilities to minmax every encounter.

It can take too long to find a player is the biggest issue, especially if you don't want to get mobbed by going to crater. I think it needs to be reasonably possible to keep larger hypercarnivores fed without player bodies, otherwise there's a good chance of starving just due to bad luck. Which while realistic, doesn't make for the funnest gameplay

I've been playing as a sucho, it takes roughly 5-8 land critters to feed me from half hunger; sometimes I find a bunch back to back, and other times in the same areas I nearly starve simply because I can't find any critters

I think just having the larger aggressive ones give more food would be plenty, because it just needs a tweak, not a massive change. Those land crocs giving hardly more food than the little possums or a frog feels a bit immersion breaking. They take a lot of hits, but barely moves my hunger bar; while a medium fish fills my Sucho a lot better

People still carni/herbi mix pack all the time though, I don't think there's anything that'll change that. Adding a debuff for close proximity isn't ideal because it can be abused, but it'd take more work and I think would be easier to avoid dying from than mixpacking/packing in solo; so would assumably happen less. Ultimately, there's going to be cheating either way unfortunately, just the nature of an open world pvp game

I wouldn't mind if hyper carnivore had even slower food drain compared to scavenger than it has now. Used to be the trade off was less abundant food, but needing to eat less often. Now its do you want to hunt, or just eat food that feels freely given and not be able to eat from hunts

I think hypercarni being more "efficient" at fresh meat could work too, so you'd get like 50% more food from fresh meat as hyper compared to scavenger, but scavenger still can eat fresh meat

Though even just making it to where scavenger can eat fresh player bodies would work too, at least for now until they add something in like corpse degrading into bones and carrion

Metri, conca, meg, sarco, spino, sucho. all of them can get away from a bad scenario, they dish out good damage, and are fairly easy to grow

Honestly, a group of metris beat a group of titans if they can manage the bleed and self heal enough

What I’ve been doing is I lead into the fight with a normal bite to start the bleed than I chomp and keep biting until cool off wears off so i maximize my dmg with the bleed boost sense and I run the bleed atk titan.
