Also, do not use just your tail if you plan on playing Amarg. The tail attack is good for creating distance, but your Headbutt does more damage and does Bleed, and your Stomp does so much damage.

Finally got a nice fight on perma. Defeated a hatz earlier while on achillo. I technically didn't get the kill—they did it to themselves when trying to escape, but it was a fun battle nonetheless. I was death scarred. My leg was shaking the entire time from adrenaline.

Hatz have definitely added a whole new dynamic to the survival aspect. I wandered around the map last having a little adventure to myself and I kid you not, there was not A SINGLE POI that I didn’t have to duck in a bush or under a rock to hide from a Hatz. All the way from the southern tip of the map to the northern, they were there. It was actually really fun

there is a mindset where people want a server where everyone plays perfect and has a dino profile and only plays in ways people want to play, and free will doesnt exist

a community servers prob the best bet for this

I think, if looking at other games for how they handled 'mega mixpacking', BoB had the comfort system which is a debuff essentially depending on how long you're around an ungrouped animal - but I can't tell if that actually worked or not given the official servers are moderated against really specific levels of 'mixpacking'
(I personally don't care about mixing but huge clans definitely make the game less fun if you are unfortunate enough to run into them)

That’s been brought up a few times, but the issue is that the stress mechanic is actually extremely abusable by those same mix packs they were meant to disrupt. Clans use them to kill a solo player without having to even touch them

Knock back helps in water if the sarc tail rides you but I've upped my swim combat experience and found a way to maneuver away from being tail ridden

Yeah. I used it yesterday against a sarc and he was struggling cause I kept flipping around on him. It knocks them back far enough that a spino with 10% swim speed/turning speed can flip around. Very helpful if you're full defense.
