Because the current amounts in the store are the "regular" amount of cp plus a bonus %. They base the 2X on the regular amount, not the bonus. Although I think they used to do it for the larger amount, they changed it at some point. It's still not a bad deal if you're going to buy anyway.

After the first season of ranked I have played in the game, I do have some suggestions. I think the ranked experience needs a new rank called Specialist between Veteran and Elite, and should start the 300 point gaps between tiers there. Tier gaps should be 400 points in Master and 500 in GM, as well. I do think they need to get rid of the first win bonus, and change the multi-select bonus to dock 3 points for frontline and tdm, along with plus 2 points for S&D, control, and hardpoint. On the BR side, they need to either fill your squad with bots with the "fill squad option," or adjust performance and survival targets accordingly. Too many times have I gotten a duo or trio in squads mode despite using that feature.
