When you peek a enemy who is camping you see them for a decently big frame of time meanwhile they dont see you. This is called peekers advantage. When you peek someone they dont see you due to desync, aka their client side needs to update to show you have peeked and sincw there is delay there you can use it to your advantage and kill them before they know you are there
