There are no legal repercussions for downloading pirated stuff. If you upload things, on the other hand, it’s illegal. And you can still get sued by the company for pirating their stuff.
In short the law is: just for yourself is fine with the government but if the company you stole from takes legal action, you’re in hot water. It’s not LEGAL
