However, a few seasons ago I talked to the community manager about explosives disappearing on kills, and it's possible that even if it doesn't go back to respawning with the enemy, they'll change it so you can still detonate a headshot round

Let's say the gun is an assault rifle, I set my attachments for the maximum hip fire bullet spread accuracy and go to hard point shipment until that's done, then I put on the highest magnification scope and give my gun as much damage range as possible and lower the recoil as much as I can and hop into scrapyard 2019 domination and do long shots, by then "get set amount of kills with 5 attachments" should be done and I use my standard gunsmith for my gun to grind headshots in hard point shipment and after that I start playing with no attachments in hard point shipment to get that last series of camos, by then the first series of camos which is "get set amount of kills" should be finished, if not I will hop into hard point shipment again with my standard gunsmith build for that gun and complete the first camo series

You can experiment with Rust, Satelite, Crossfire, and Highrise for longer-range maps to see which works best for you.
