I've been using 4 for awhile. But 5 seems more fluid to me. I'm still figuring it out. But I use my right thumb to look, left thumb to move, right index to crouch/slide, jump and prone, left index for shooting and left middle for aiming

Spend some time working it out yourself is really the best way to do it. There’s no “optimal” hud. I play with 6 fingers, not sure what I’d do if I lost one, but I’d probably put my aim and shoot on the same side, then use the same finger for crouch, jump, etc. I’ll show you my hud in media and you can potentially take inspiration. Note that I’m on iPad though
