What I do is familiarize myself with the basic fundamentals. I visit the practice range and vs ai, then I work my way up to 1v1's just to learn movement implementation. From there I actually prefer 1v2 and 1v3's for learning. Obviously you want the opponents to be good and not some WC randoms though.

Whether this is effective or not is debatable of course, but it's helped me
