Alert is just a general location, I don’t think it has the same effect as a UAV but I’ve never used it. Recon is for when you kill an enemy, and that one might have a UAV effect, but there’s better perks. Like quick fix

All good I’m a good reader. Are you sure that you weren’t just getting constant UAV’s from teammates? UAV’s are shared with the team, maybe that was it. Usually, playing with audio and tracking footsteps that way is much better, because there are perks which give things you can’t physically control. Think of it like this: if I use a perk that lets me see enemies on the map at all times when they’re close, that would be useful. But, if I can use my ears to track them, it doesn’t matter if I have the perk. So, I can use a different perk instead, such as quick fix, which gives me something I can’t control. Immediate health on killing an enemy. That’s how I view perks. Also long essay. Sorry. Hope you can read well to

Earbuds are very important. The friendly UAV’s give the red dots on the map for enemies.. I don’t know what alert does though. I’ll check that for you now so I know what I’m on about. Usually dead silence is best, because that reduces the sound of your running and mutes the sound of your walking. It gives you more control in the situations. Usually the more control you have, the more likely you are to win. Makes it much easier when you’re in control.
