#First fpv drone build
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
the motors are too small, the batteries are probably terrible, the flight controller is unsupported and the frame is very bad
the receiver, camera and vtx are fine
although you might want a diversity receiver if the goal is long range
The batteries are 2600mah 60c
get batteries from a known good company, dogcom, smc, tattu, newyenk/yattox, gnb. even cnhl would be far more acceptable than the ones you have right now
it may also be worth going with a lion pack
you will get much longer flight times
I don’t think Ali express even has those company parts
I was trying to order everything from 1 place
basically impossible with fpv
What websites should I order from
What Frame motor and battery’s should I look for?
is this your first quad?
What’s quad?
quadcopter
I’ve had a prebuilt drone years ago otherwise yes
fpv or not?
i would not recommend 7" or long range as your first fpv drone at all
Why so
a 7" is big enough to kill you if you make a mistake
I’m not interested in doing manoeuvres or anything like that
Like if it runs into me?
and an unexperienced pilot attempting long range is a quick way to lose it
I was gonna practice on my pc first
that and if you accidently span up the motors
Get atleat 20 30 hours in on simulators then try fly it
my recommendation wont change
I mean 5 to 7 inches isnt that big of a difference
it is, and i wouldn't recommend you get a 5" either
if you really want to do lr start with a 3-4" nano longrange build or bnf and work your way up
they are still capable of long distances and flight times
Most beginner guides I’ve seen actually all start with 5 inches
It would explode ?
it would injure you
By what means
Not sure if you mean throttling to hard so that it runs into your or something else
I would not stand close to it lol
there are many more opportunities to hurt yourself with it than you expect
I know
Same thing with driving a car
hurting other people is also a concern that’s why you go to a empty large area
Would these motors fit
I just found this on AliExpress: | 4pcs RC DIY Parts X2807 2807 Motor 1300KV 4S 1500KV 1700KV 6S Brushless Motor for FPV 7inch Long Range Mark4 LR7 Drones
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EGab0X4
Peak single use type motors
Sorta joking but thats as far as recommending these go
Motors are motors tho
Yeah I swapped them out
please dont start with a 7"
