Hi all, I come from a lil 65mm analog drone and I now would like to build a digital, 5in drone. My goals with this will be to eventually add in some autonomy, but for now I just need the barebones functionality of the drone - especially since this'll be my first experience with such a large drone, as well as first time using digital. Attached, is my parts list - any swaps i can make, please let me know! I'd like anywhere between 5-10min of decent flight, with pretty decent range to just be able to enjoyyyy the flight haha.

I have a RM Pocket which i was planning to use for this drone, also.
Also to my understanding from the research i did on Walksnail - I side/upgrade cameras and as long as i stay within the walksnail ecosystem, compatibility shouldnt be an issue right? Whereas dji, you have to buy each generation if you want to upgrade at all?
walksnail is a dead system
Also i saw mixed answers regarding Walksnail goggles functionality with analog as well? If anyone has any input on this, would be greatly appreciated
abondoned my caddx
pretty much
hdzero my goat
in terms of everything aside from my video system, then - looks fine enough?
do they do digital too?
wait wdym 😭 is walksnail dead still
yes
oh okok so that part still applies lol
How's this look now? No dead system 😄
Cant say the same about the wallet, if I end up getting all this though 😨
hdzero is very different than walksnail/dji btw
in terms of video quality?
yeah im reading now about its analogue-esque ness. from the videos ive seen - totally something im willing to accept
in your opinion and experience, is the difference in dji vs hdzero really worth the ecosystem situation?
what
the pick is entirely up to preference
yeah i totally get it thats why i asked about your opinion and all - just outta curiousity
i prefer hdzero because of visual breakup
however i think i decided to just go with hdzero
yes i like how it pixelates to indicate youre starting to go out of range
could i get a final a-okay on this please before i work on purchasing?
id use the nano90 instead
the lumineer axii is very overpriced
those batteries are very meh
oh? good to hear lemme check that out
yea battery and charger im still looking into. primarily for charger - just need to see if my lab at uni has one, i think they do - i could just borrow that and that'd save me a decent bit lol
oh nano90 is a camera?
i mean no offfense to your uni but those are often not great
do you have a laptop charger? or some usb power supply?
nono totally fair. i meant specifically in a lab where we have various chargers and connecters, its a pretty tech heavy club in our EE department
yea i have both - those should be fine?
id get the hota T6 then
ah okay appreciate it
swap the micro v3 for this camera, you mean? and is there an alternative to the video antenna then or do i just accept the overpriced-ness
don't purchase from getfpv is pretty much the biggest suggestion here
local pickup
doesn't really matter
it's so much extra money they're spending
I was mainly just trying to buy things from as few different sources as possible
What are some other recommended sources yall use?
pyrodrone!!!!
it's mainly the goggles
<3
paying the price for boxpro+ and getting normal boxpro
oh dang is it really that off
i'll check these dudes out when im back on the research and see if i can get enough stuff from them
so i was able to save a few bucks & swapped out some stuff here and there - and most importantly managed to get everything on pyrodrone thankfully
goated source rec ❤️
this is what i think i'm going to go for?
frame price is wrong, forgot to update - it's about $42 on pyrodrone**
Threw in short stopper since better i burn up 20$ rather than 200$ 🔥
for that price there's also the sequre am32 stack right?
and you might be able to find a cheaper or same-price-but-more-capable receiver
oo let me see
