#Batteries didn't like being in "storage"

So someone over here recommended me to keep my batteries "in storage" to improve their lifespan when not flying.
Seemed like a great idea, just store them at 3.8, or that's what they said.

I tried it, the only place where there is 3.8 (°F) is in my freezer, so I put them there, thought I was doing the right thing, but now they seem dead, their internal resistance is at like 200, and they sag.

Any ideas? They're new lipos!!

This is a very common issue. The reason this happened is because your freezer has moisture and the ice formed on it, it’s supposed to be stored in an environment that’s both 3.8° and dry

If you were to put them in some rice for half an hour it should wick out the moisture and they will be working like a charm again

you simply have to store them at 3.8° kelvin

3.8 VOLTS, NOT TEMP! 60 to 70F is fine

My post is not fake, it's not April fools info, I am getting 2k cycles out of my batteries

The actual post you goof

#

It’s ok because nobody stores at 3.8 anyway

Indeed, 4.0v is actually better as it keeps the electrons energized and happy, instead of tired and depressed at 3.8v

indeed

I store at 0v why keep energy when you dont need it

clever lodge

Nah 4.2v so you can use it directly afterwards

4.2? I charge to 4.2 when i wanna go fly, else i store it at 5v just to be sure it doesn't die from low voltage

#

My battery says like 16.6v so 5v should be fineee
