Hey, im having issues with my meteor, it feels very saggy and it feels very spongy, recoverying from a poweloop takes isane throttle. When i fly a full pack it instanly goes to 3.6V(1s). I feel like this was diffrent before.

What would cause this, and how would i go about fixin it.

Its my "training drone" and i crashed it alot of times in the years i had it, maybe its time for a newer one?

How old are your batteries? Did you change any settings recently? PID values or flashing new firmware etc.

indigo mist
#

No, i dint change any setting

Some of em are
~ August 26, 2024

Barely flown tho and always kept on 3.8V for storage

#

that charger does not do you any good for battery lifetime

So what could i do to increase performance?

#

I still gotta soilder the vtx to the camera cable, cause anytime i hit sum it comes loose and i cant see , but thats not tied to the power issue

#

better batteries are the most noticeable thing

#

you could also solder the motors for a little boost but then replacing them can get annoying

Those batteries will sag hard when they go bye bye. I only have 1 out of 4 550's of the Lava 1 series left. That one will sag at 2-3 min, so it's just a TS battery now, LOL. Anyway, I went with the 680's Lava 2's. They are 1.5 grams heavier so if your concerned with weight go with the 580 Lava 2's. They are a direct fit into our frames.

#

maybe upgrade then

#

cause i had this drone for 3 years now

#

and it has seen alot

#

I went with new batteries and flies like new

#

Mine is the updated Meteor 75 PRO 04 version.

indigo mist
#

is the o4 version better than the one ii have pperformance whise?

#

like motors

south terrace
#

Same same, I have the 3 in 1 board, you have the 4 in 1.

#

Digital version is about 7 grams heavier too. IDC, Matrix series have heavier frames and FCs. Takes a good hit and keeps going, haven't had nearly the issues of the AIR 75 flyers

indigo mist

not because of the o4 ,i cant even run that with my old v2 googles

#

but those motors with the analog

south terrace
#

The Matrix series is for a different consumer then the AIR series.

indigo mist
#

hmm oke

south terrace
#

The AIR series, oh you could have fun there, if that's what your after.

#

AIR 75 Champion edition is built to go zoom zoom

indigo mist
#

this one ?

south terrace
#

Yes!!

#

3 different editions

#

Champion- highest KV motors, low flight time

#

Freestyle- lowest KV, most flight time

indigo mist
#

28000KV goes crazy

south terrace
#

Racing falls somewhere in the middle

#

There's someone on here that put some 32000KVs on an AIR frame

#

up to your imagination, really

indigo mist
#

i think with the bt connector i could even run the same old batteries til theire dead

south terrace
#

It's the BT 2.0 connector on all those batteries.

#

same same

indigo mist
#

hmm

south terrace
#

I know right, LOL

indigo mist
#

yea

#

i was thingkin about building a 2 inch instead

#

but i think that will break when i crash

south terrace
#

Try hitting full throttle upside down, in concrete, meh. stuff happens

indigo mist
#

ive done that by accident with my meteor some time ago

south terrace
#

3" 4S, blew apart on impact
