Hey everyone, I am thinking about selling my self-built drone, but I have no idea of what ammount of money I should be asking. Is there someone that can make an estimate of what money I can get from this?

I have the following components:
• Battery: 2x 4S LiPo 1500 mAh 130C.
• Battery-charger: HTRC H4AC LiPo-charger.
• Motors: 4x iFlight XING-E Pro 2207 1800KV
• Props: Ethix S5 5040-props.
• ESC: GEPRC GEP-BLS 50A 4-in-1 ESC.
• Flightcontroller: Radiolink F405.
• Frame: DALRC HX220 carbonframe.
• Receiver: FlySky iA6B.
• Controller: FlySky FS-i6-controller
• FPV-camera + VTX: BetaFPV C04 Camera + M04 VTX Module.
• FPV-goggles: Betafpv VR03.
I also 3D-printed: a camera mount, an antenna mount and legs for the drone.

In total I spent around 380 euro's (440 dollars) on these components. The drone has rarely been used, and only has minor scrapes on the frame from a crash.

Thanks a lot! 😉

people would probably be more willing to buy the parts separately.

#

the frame and radio gear are pretty much worthless, everything else can prebaby be sold for 50-65% of its new price

#

omg i just saw thewashers under the prop nut 😭

yeah the rotor of the motor was too long for the prop to fit😬

I made this for a school project and I mean it worked. But i am thinking of selling it and getting a proper drone built to use myself

you could keep the stack and motors and run them on 6s

you do no need the washers

Yeah i am thinking of maybe reusing and upgrading this drone instead after hearing your estemation of it's value. The biggest flaws I found was a short range on the VTX with not a stable signal, aswell als the battery dying after 4minutes of calm flight

as long as you have the vtx set to its full output power

I set it to 100Mw instead of 25Mw that it was defaulted. because it is an all-in-one, I found that it got hot fast, so i didn't think going to 250(max) would be a good decision. In my country the legal limit is actually 25, but I found that that was wayyyy to low

Those Nylock's that arrive with those XIng Pro's are good ones!!

Hey, I mean, it works! Hhahahaha. But i will make sure to change them 💪

If you have some silicone grips they work pretty good

wanton phoenix
#

I sadly don't have those, this was my first drone and I had limited options due to it being for school. I do have a ratchet wrench that I can use

Hardest part is hanging onto the bell with enough grip, while trying not to bend the bell motor shaft, lol

#

Because I will pull out a bigger hammer, 😆

#

Even a strip of silicone mat will work

Cool, good luck, like others were saying, you have the start of a good build there. Keep it up

Thank you very much man! Just to come back to my first question quickly. What do you think you would pay for this drone if you saw it listed online, or would you not dare think about even buying it because...? I am really doubting if I should sell and build a new one or upgrade this one. Buying a new one seems more fun to me, but as a student I dont have massive ammounts of money that I can throw around

6S motors with 4S battery, the props, etc, would turn people away quickly.

#

However, saying the honest part outloud

Not gone, at all

What would your move be in the situation me and my drone are in, as a more experienced pilot i presume?

twilit tundra
#

Just probably not worth as much in your eyes, vs someone that wants to grap and fly.

#

There's a loaded question, the amount of objects and drones I've crashed.... lol. Am I a crappy pilot too? Practice practice, 😆

#

I am a terrible pilot, better builder and fixer.

#

Seriously though, you jave the start, could have some fun with that thing, not much invested in it. Good practice rig.
