how do you fly it mainly?
/plan to
cause personally i think you cant go wrong with a TrueRC matchstick or another (but shorter) Lumenier AXII 2
if you do longer range flying and need more penetration id reccomend something long and possibly one of those double axiis and mount it as out of the way as possible. Otherwise if you do freestyle you want more durability id go for a stubby or shorter antenna
I plan to free style and maybe do long range
But above is what im using rn
I dont really like the patch
So u think I should replace my patch with another lumineer antenna
Also what should I get for my drone
those are the antennas id put on the drone
the antennas you have for your goggles are quite good
U think I should replace the patch
Ion really like it
if you want you can stick a stubby on there
you will lose penetration and some range compared to a patch but it would take less space
Is it fine if sits like that?
Cuz thats the only way for it not to be loose
Other than that its loose
I had my vtx at 1000 mw
And it was bad signal
Probably to high
I was at
Race band channel 8 to
Maybe cuz it was on diversity mode
where were you flying?
Football field
metal fence around it?
then yea you were probs getting reflections
im guessing when you lowered the power you had better signal
I lowered the power but I haven't flown yet
similar thing with flying whoops indoors where 25mw is usually good and anything above you lose signal
Im new to thjs
I followed a guide on like I forgot his name the bald dude
Guess he was wrong
joshua bardwell?
What abt like neighborhoods
honestly? use smartaudio and see what gives you the best signal
or whatever the vtx switching signal youre using
part of getting the best signal is just trial and error tbh
I see
So would u suggest i put this on my drone
The
Double antenna
try different places where youre standing, make sure youre not looking down when flying and experiment with different power levels
i dont think you need it
Lowkey just trying to maximize my goggles
But if I dont need
Thats fine
Ts the stock one
should be fine
when you say bad signal what were you seeing?
loss of colour, rolling, full static?
odd
try running lower output power on the vtx and see if that fixes it when flying on the field
400 mw is perfect then?
if not then maybe the vtx isnt giving you your full power or the antenna isnt working properly
should be
yea thats fine
I usually sat behind like a little half fence made of metal
I need a shorter cable
Ahhhh
you dont need that cable at all
you can plug the battery directly into the socket no?
it wont make that much of a difference youre fine
Oh fr?
yea
its better to have it in the center but having it more forwards or more backwards is fine
dont have to be super precise with it
Could the cable be messing with my signal to?
Cuz before it was sitting right next to the antenna
Like touching
i mean probs a bit
So like thats fine?
A go pro would be crazy
Def would fit now
yea its fine
itll affect the performance slightly sure but wont be a big deal outside of a slightly shorter flight time
and keep in mind a gopro would offset the weight of the battery too
Damn they are expensive tho huh
can get used
iirc that fits 10, 11, 12 and 13
Got a link?
