Why not just give the components you are using to begin with
because i dont want to give all the detail
Why
i want to get some records
Good luck then
ok then, let me rephrase it
If you want to know the specs just ask me
then, I would appreciate knowing the specs of this quad, so may I be allowed a glimpse into the components used in this craft ?
(besides the pedantic part, I am genuinely interested in knowing what you are putting in there, I do also want to break the record for fastest quad but I didn't have the time to get into it, yet, but I already have an idea of what I will build it with)
100A 4in1 ESC F7 Flight Controller Big motors 1700KV but not on 6s even more DJI O3 Transmission with servo to control the tilt PETG 3D printed shell CNC milled custom carbon frame
and m10 GPS
so nothing actually specific then, just vague non descript specs, awesome,
I assume something along the lines of a 3008 on 8s and 5" high pitched bi blades ?
maybe more than 8s i use apc props and gamfan 5,25x8
more so because that means more rpm without burning the motors
since there will be much less amp draw and those poor motors don't get that much cooling in a pusher configuration
the motor are in the range of 2814 somthing like that
not sure if going taller is the best move, cause again we are passing a whole lot of amps in a motor that's not super well cooled
but u are only full trothle for les than 15 sec
I haven't really taken the time to properly sketch anything really, it's just an idea at the back of my head, but basically take the world record, add some more and that's what I want to get to
yeah hm that is going to be somewhat hard without using a wing
you know how the world record is
like 370km/h I thinnk ?
nop
well if it changed since last time idk
With a speed of 557.64 km/h is currently the fastest quadcopter on the planet! I am very proud and happy to bring this record to Switzerland.
The record is pending official confirmation from Guinnes World Record, process ongoing.
I hope this innovative and new design brings some innovation and motivation to push further! The 600 km/h frontier ...
minimum
and it was made by fellow french people, how neat
I thought Swiss
idk they spoke in french so I assumed they are french
but might be from the french side of switzerland
of course
nice
I might get it sla printed by a third party tho, cause I have an fdm, and for as good as it may be, it will be pretty tough to fully remove the added drag of the layer lines
maybe the better one
but i sanded some parts of the drone
and printet on 0.1mm layer
yeah but that will still leave some surface roughness, granted there's a thousand way to get rid of it, but I prefer to have a solution I know will work perfect out of the box
of course
the hardest is to find a matching esc with the higher voltage in combo witch big motors
now that I think about it, my cousin might end up in materials next year, (and if not I could just go harass other people I know that are in materials) so I could do a carbon fiber shell
that would be insane
yup, much lighter stiffer and durable and no layer line issues
depending on my negotiation skills I could even get my university to sponsor it
eaven better
for sure, but also at the same time I won't actually have very much time on my hand next year, so I don't know how much effort I will be able to put into it
just designing and cfd took my like 3 months
and in terms of hours of work ?
Is this one of Quadmovr’s designs?
he just said he designed it himself
didnt see that my bad
I only ask because it looks extremely similar to some of quadmovrs designs
well those kinds of frames will always look pretty similar
Yeah no that is literally one of quadmovrs prototypes lol
Worked thogether
also since when is dave_c quadmovr
he changed his profile, that page used to be called quadmovr
Oh nvm im slow
Thats one of dave_cs prototypes
Quadmovr is a different guy that also makes high speed quads
Still had to Design a lot of parts New
Inside is completly different to fit my components
so did you two worked together or did you rework his design ?
so what your saying is you didnt design the whole thing lol
