#Issues binding ELRS receiver on AIO

Im having problems binding my new JHEMCU GH435AIO. I have the antenna installed, but I don't have battery yet. I hit the 'Bind Receiver' button in beta flight, then hit bind on my ELRS radio but I never see radio controls on the FC in that tab.

Thats a good question. Youd think SPI since its on the AIO but i believe its serial on UART 1

how would i flash a new version of elrs to this with a known binding phrase?

you can change the bind phrase via wifi
