#Drone violently oscillating when armed

Should I test it outside with props on?
The video that I posted was just arming it without adding any throttle
yeah, but even at no throttle props will still generate a small amount of thrust, thats just how they work
Do you have any ideas why it might be so violent?
i dunno, might be the stand its on, might be the stack, might be betaflight settings
if you want to do another props off test, try a more stable stand
plastic frame?
that to
its 3d printed, but rn its a unibody, so there are no screw connections
its a design that others have used so I don't think its the frame
Idle speed?
It's normal for it to accelerate when it has no props, but that's way too violent
I changed the idle speed from 5.5% to 2.5%, but that just seemed to make the drone vibrate at a higher frequency
I think 5.5 is the bf default
Does it disarm instantly when you press?
yeah
I just saw the video
That is definitely the frame
Did you try with different motors
That's way too flexible
ok
I'm going to try and reprint it with more infill
hopefully that will make it stronger
were those sparks
bruhhhhh just saw that
that came from the fc
its def sparks
no thats due to bad soldering then
they wont come undone that easily
but yeah with those motor mounts youre asking for vibrations
resolder everything just in case, print the frame with more infill or stronger filament
but heaven forbid he does
print 100 infill
like
no gaps
You can print a frame 100% infil and a carbon one will be more rigid and light
Buy a damn carbon frame
You can mess with the (clearly dangerous) experimental printed frames after you're good at building the easy things lol
Starting on something like this is a disaster
True
