Its possible
But unlikely.
There is more likely some other reason preventing arm.

So if the wire itself doesn't look munched up too bad (1/3 or more.)
Then just electric tape it up good for now and give it more testing and flights.

It is POSSIBLE the G from the battery is grounding to the carbon of the frame and thus causing some odd ground loop that is confusing your RC link only but not any other system.
Possible, but unlikely, tape up the pack to take that out of the equation.

Also go check your RX and its wiring and antenna.

i can only say that there was a gemfan recall on some prop when i was working the beat, which was around the time the windancer series dropped.
it may or may not have been windancers I can't recall.
Let alone that specific version/pitch.
Whatever it was they recalled they updated and fixed it.

But also only HQ or gemfan adult up and recall.
Probably MAS or APC as well I'd imagine.

So if the windancers you bought were at a too good to be true price from a sketchy store, it is possible they were recalled.
All reputable stores carrying the recalled gemfan props were told to throw them away and were credited to do so.
meaning they lost no $$ and had incentive to keep good products on the shelf not the recalls.

If you bought from a reputable store then the prop is likely not deffective

Found some faults I can remidate. Missing screw and loose reciever

That's actually a good question and inherently impossible to definitively answer as there is various other factors at play such as:
Ambient temp.
How aggressive/perfect your tune is (more perfect means lower margin for error [usually.])
Throttle/aggressiveness you are flying at.
The build itself and how much power/temperature headroom you have to play with.
What level of perfection you need out of said footage or DVR etc.

So lets just focus on that question for just 5in freestyle beater rig and assume video quality isn't important.
All we r caring about is:
Don't smoke a motor/ESC

The main rule of thumb to focus on is:
If your FPV feed is all jello, land.
If the sound seems atrocious, land.
If you have a clear loss of control, land.

past that, youll just have to feel it out over time and get a feel for it
