I am building a 5 inch drone right now and i just got done with soldering the camera to the fc. When i tried to connect the battery to my drone the vtx lit up but my fc didnt also i dont get a consistent signal from my vtx when i tried to connect my goggles.

Also if you have a multimeter/voltmeter, check the output voltage on the ESC + pad, and any of the 5v/9v pads on the FC

In general that's a very useful thing to have. The fact that USB powers the FC and battery doesn't is suspicious though. It smells like a hardware failure

Hard to say. I would double check all your solder joints, make sure nothing's bridged or anything

It should only make the second beep if the FC is working properly. So it may have gotten fried the first time you plugged it in. Or maybe something got bridged afterwards or something 🤷
