I am referring to the physique, as in the looks of someone, which may not align with how someone perceives themselves, aka how their brain is wired, and that will induce dysphoria, which can very easily lead to depression and suicide, this happens often, transitioning is just getting you to look like you feel, it's not changing you as a person

I feel like the trans movement is making being male or female into more of a personality than a biological thing
what you are not getting is the difference between being male and being a man, aka, the difference between sex and gender, sex is just what chromosomes you have, and that's not something you can change (Well, I guess in principle it's not impossible but hrt surgeries etc ain't doing that), where as gender is, by definition, psychological, it's about how you feel, the two are often confused as in cis mens they align, so there is no reason to note the difference between the two and you can use them more or less interchangeably
tho with people suffering of dysphoria or who are trans, they are not, and are often confused (that's why we had the stupid "what's a women" movement, because the right wing assumed both mean the same thing), a trans person's gender and sex don't align, and no one is doing anything to their sex or gender, since the first one is genetic, the second is psychological, both are things you are born with and can't change, transitioning is just getting you to look like your gender, it's not about going "I'm a penguin".
