I am entirely new at self build drones and have to charge my first lipo now. When I plug in the balancing cable, the cells seem extremely unbalanced and as soon as I plug in the tx60 cable, the balancing disappears completely. I will attach a video.
Also in betaflight, it stopped recognizing the battery as 6s but instead as 2s. Is that because of it's low charge?

Is it a new lipo?
5v is WAY too much for a lipo and under 3 is way too low
Although 24.3 is okay if every cell had the same voltage
It's brand new, I never charged it
No, I'm gonna order another one now and probably send this one back
What brand would you recommend?
Cnhl, gnb, dogcom
Not cnhl black though
It's best to ask this in #🧾shopping-advice
@cunning meadow is he just wrong or what?
@heavy wing You shall decide(I’m so so sorry for the ping)

o
for xl5 eco
I've heard some people don't recommend the black because of the voltage sag and short lifespan
I use them and the voltage sag is really noticeable
sorry last time I said I didn't like CNHL Black's I got bullied for days
Some people said the cnhl speedy pizzas are better, haven't tried them yet but I'll order a pack for christmas
i agree with you
i had one with a DOA cell and 3 of them just slowly having cells die
ive had like 6 cnhl blacks just to put it into perspective
Had ghat happen with RDQ batts. Just ask for new ones since theese arrived faulty on arrival
A friend who works with drones balanced each cell individually and told me he couldn't reproduce my exact problem as seen in the video. I will soon be getting the battery back. Maybe it's my charger that's faulty
Thanks for all of the help here btw!
i got the battery back and now it shows each cell at over 5v....
i checked each cell with a multimeter and the are at the correct voltage, so the fault is with the charger
Oof
This is why we don't really tend to recommend ISDT anymore fyi
