#Why my drone cant get off the ground?

Motor direction or props on wrong
Props is good but motors idk
Then check the motors
How to change motor direction?
Just swap any 2 of the 3 motor wires
Its a prebuild
And see if it matches the thing in betaflight
Then your props are on wrong
@halcyon goblet get a photo of the drone and a screenshot of the motors tab
Wait
I think you have the props in a props out config but the drone spins them props in
So you literally have every prop on wrong lol
really?
so i need to change everything?
Because it really looks like that’s it
get the screenshot, then we can move on
okay
Swap the props and get the screenshot yes
No he meant in betaflight
My bet is that if you uncheck the motor direction is reversed thing and swap every prop it will fly
okay ill try
let's do it more methodically... take off the props and slowly spin up the motors with the slider. Check if they spin in the same direction as shown in the diagram
when my dad will be home
it did yesterday
Also FIY the motor direction is reversed switch doesn’t reverse the motors
okay
It just tells bf if the motors are reversed
This is a good idea
Vitroid is smarter than me so probably listen to him instead of me lol
can i do it whit props??
No
i hate taking them off
You will die if you do
nah
Off*
Yup
😂
Take the fucking props off
yes
YES
I know but your fingers are worth more than 2 minutes
okay okay
ok ok
Off*
wait thenm
i cant take them off i dont have the correct screwdriver so ill wait for my dad
but can you help me whit one more problem?
Sure
What is it?
Found it?
No problem
@cosmic parcel n @wet pulsar THANK YOU VERY MUCH
It was the props
and some motors spining in bad wat
way*
THANK YOUUUUUUU❤️ ♥️
💜
ty
guys what should i do, i need a small drone whit plastic procetors around props, ir need to have dji O3 it need to be able to fly at home
and udner 300eur
Get a BetaFPV Pavo 20 and add an O3.
I don't understand why working with props on (at least on like 3.5" and up) isn't nearly as shamed as jokingly waving a gun around. They're both just as foolish especially on larger quads https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/toddler-blinded-by-out-of-control-drone/EUVPLFM6HXH6MSST3D3BJVSGRY/
I don't mean to shame OP specifically, but it seems that the prevalence of owning larger quads is skyrocketing while the safety factor is being left behind completely
Ouuuuuuch
Fuuuuuuuuck me. That is unforgivable. That wasn't an "accident" it was fucking stupidity and ego that half blinded that poor kid.
Been seeing a lot of YouTube videos pop up for me with $200 10" quad builds. Maybe others are seeing the same thing
I only ever do it on less than 75mm as they are a pain to get off and the danger is minimal.
But yea anything… anything open prop. They coming off
yep, and as far as I'm aware, eye transplants aren't a thing yet
Probably the sequel to those $100 5" builds you'd see in 2015ish. most likely they're just bare minimum cheap things that end up being common among beginners who have no business owning that size of a quad lol
yeah I could understand ducted/guarded things (incl. cinewhoops) being safer in that the main danger would be the edges of the prop striking something vital like an eye
Nah the actual main danger is that. And it death jumping into you after arming, so if it’s above a 2s or open prop no thanks
yeah, I think nobody realizes how quickly out of control an otherwise docile drone can become when the PID loop gets agitated in one way or another
a day at the shooting range can be perfectly calm but that doesn't mean that you can change (delete) a life in zero time
Can we like get spoilers on photos like these 🤢
Whoopsy daisy
This might seem weird but now i’m curious
Tf did you do?
Removed most of the end of a finger on a woodworking power tool
Damn
That sounds painful
The thing with injuries like that is... they don't hurt right away. Your brain doesn't really register what happened and the immediate adrenaline dump keeps you going. I honestly didn't feel much more than a dull ache until well after they stitched me up--like what you'd feel if you bonk your finger with a hammer. The lanacane injection into my hand so they could stitch me up felt like someone plunged a white hot knife into my finger though. -100000/10 would not recommend
ive had similar happen cutting my finger on glass at a junkyard. It really wasn't that large of a cut but it was pretty deep. I had no problem bandaging it there but I nearly passed out when my dad was redoing it at home.
i agree with the props off thing, my whoop I don't care so much about but 5" props are coming off no exceptions. my toothpick ehhh props are coming off if im touching esc firmware. or maybe i toss a shirt over it.
only 5" motor injury i have had was from a plane with a pwm rx and bad failsafe settings. leaned over it, tx failsafed from being too close, motor spun up in my hand.
I had almost exactly the same thing happen to me with a Swiss Army knife, I opened the scissors funny and ran the nice new sharp point down my thumb. It was kinda deep but I was fine, didn’t feel faint or anything
Change the bandage like 2 days later and had to lay on the sofa for 15 minutes 😂
Its so strange how that can happen lol
had the same while sawing wood once. Didn't actually saw in my finger though.
Basically, it was a fine saw and rough/course saw that you could switch out onto the same handle. Because it was really floppy though i didn't like the handle, and used it without the handle. Turns out the top of the saw was really sharp, so i had a deep cut in my finger. Took a while for it to register.
also i fainted
because of that
kinda weird because i had never fainted befor
e
and usually i can handle injury and blood/gore pretty well
The vasovagal reflex is a real bitch
who in their right minds sharpen the top part of the saw though
like that part
the non teethy side
watch out when using cheap saws ig
Probably not sharpened, sheet metal just is sharp af
Should I take off props whenever I plug in the battery and it’s on my table
Or only when do motor stuff
Ideally yes but if you keep your distance a bit not neccerily
Just don’t put your face above it
Should you unload your rifle before cleaning/working on it?
Only toothpick/tinywhoop and below are safe to work with props on. Anything else is asking to be injured
And even if youthink you're not working on motors, misunderstandings and mistakes are a very real thing
if the battery is plugged in, the escs are powered
This is incredibly active thread for what it is
i didnt even realize it was a thread wtf
this is simply an annexed channel
Noted
No no no no ALWAYS
ALWAYS, if there’s a lipo plugged in there should be no props on, unless you intend on flying
Im guilty of doing it in betaflight for vtx work but you really shouldn't. If its esc configurator work absolutely not ever.
Beta flight has extensive protections against arming with usb, but its not perfect and esc work will bypass it anyway
I mean, there's a whole popup when you try to spool up the motors in betaflight but evidently some people just ignore that regardless
