where did you put the leds?
I wouldn't use a speedybee stack (they crappy), nor would I use a deadcat frame
i am still working on the led setup
i use the deadcat because i like to have a gopro ontop
squished X is a thing, the gopro isn't going to see the props with squished X, even on trueX with a bit of uptilt
but I never heard that the Speedybee stack is so crappy... which one would you use
depends on the budget
high
hobbywing xrotor 30x30
what do you think about GEPRC TAKER F722 BLS 65A V2 STACK
okay maybe a bit high amps
the xrotor is 65A too
and the xrotor is better
but just fly the speedybee one until it goes kaboom, then get a better esc/fc
i think the Speedybee will handle the XING 2 2207 1855KV really well
the esc and fc doesn't matter for how well a quad will fly, only for how long
i know, but considering the kaboom
your stack is most likely fine, the speedybee f405v3 was the really bad one
I actually have f405v3 and have 0 problems. also my friend has one, 0 problems.
I have similar build, only with Volador II VD5 instead of Mark5 frame. It's heavy, but it flies nice, as I don't use GoPro
"I never had issues with my unit"≠"best thing in the world, it's indestructible no one ever had issues with it it's awesome and everyone should buy it"
Ok, if the budget is unlimited, then that's a valid point. But hobbywing xrotor 30x30 stack is 120€ and f405v3 is 70€...
That doesn't mean it's good, and there are plenty of much better options than the v3 stacks that are cheaper than the xrotor stack, I only mentioned it because he said he had a high budget, but diatone and skystar have a lot of stacks cheaper than the xrotor, and much better than the v3
I was not aware there are a lot of failure reports on v3. If so, then me and my friends might be lucky with ours. But I haven't really heard anything about v3 failing a lot.
The f405 v3, besides being made with shitty quality components, has an actual wiring flaw where if you use the osd and blackbox at the same time the fc craps itself
It's a really stupid design and it's in general just bad, especially when you can get something that's much better from 30$ more with skystar and diatone (granted they also do some 70$ stacks, that I would also use over the v3, if budget is really tight)
I know about the osd-blackbox issues, it's stupid mistake on their part, but I don't really care as they do not affect me. If I needed blackbox, there is v4 that has that fixed. And crappy components are crappy only if they fail a lot, and I have no information proving me they do. I'm not saying it's perfect and I'm in love with it or something. I'm just saying that it's cheap and it works well for me and for most people, as far as I know.
Yeah but you can get much better for not much more, so there is no reason why you would get a speedybee stack, and there are quite a few people that end up with blown up escs, the USB falling off or the fc just dying, not all of them will die in 2 weeks, but that doesn't mean anyone should buy them
you can get much better for not much more
If the stack fulfills all my needs, "better" does not exist, so any extra money money spent is wasted.

See, this is the info that I am now aware of. If this happens a lot, then the components might be "crappy" and I am just lucky.
But you must take into account the volume this stack is sold in. If there are 20 failure reports on a stack that sells in 10 000s, that's better than 5 failure reports on stack that sells in 1000s.
But it's not 20 failure reports on a stack that sells 10,000 tho, I don't have an exact number, but it's fairly frequent and not that many people buy the v3 anymore,
And even if your stack currently suits your needs, spending a bit more will just mean it will stay alive for longer, it doesn't necessarily mean it will be able to do more
I hope mine stays alive for a long time then, so I can say I saved some money... 🙂
