DJI Air unit O3 with Controller 2

I'm in the process of assembling my first FPV drone sporting a Holybro F7 AIO FC, running the latest version of BetaFlight and an Air unit O3. I have wired it up according to the wiring diagram to UART port 2 and the Control signal for using the DJI FPV controller 2 to Rx on UART port 3. Everything is bound and the OSD works fine. I have battery voltage in the DJI menu and I see my OSD setup.

But betaflight will not get me the receiver inputs. The sticks have no response at all in the receiver tab. I set the Receiver mode to SBUS and enabled "Serial Rx" on port 3 in the ports tab.

But still. No controller inputs showing.

In the RX tab does it show anything on the bars?
Or are they all entirely blank?

They are entirely blank

did you flash the fc with sbus selected as your radio protocol?

If entirely blank.
Then as slow food said.
For betaflight 4.5 you need to flash a FW and select sbus on the protocol menu when flashing.

Also if your FC has one.
Then a very good troubleshoot step here would be to flah it to a 4.2 target if available.
4.2 will be more like the older tutorials you have seen and doesn't need a protocol choice on flash.

Inversion could also potentially be an issue.
However if your board is an F7 that should be adjustable in software not wiring F4 style.
