Would an external crossfire module work on the TX16s built in ELRS?
Or does it have to be 4 in 1 for the external module to work?

Not sure why you would want to use Crossfire in a TX16S that has ELRS built in anyway--ELRS is superior in pretty much every way

Unless you already have an entire fleet on Crossfire and the TX16S is just a radio upgrade

But anyway, yea it would work just fine

I was just wondering if it was better to get the 4 in 1 instead to of the built in elrs.

I have a elrs drone but i was just thinking of a scenario in the future where i would need crossfire

There's never really a scenario where you need Crossfire
