#Question about flying at the European Parliament in Brussels

Hello!

I managed to obtain an authorization to fly at the Parliament! It's truly remarkable, especially considering that I haven't found any FPV videos of the Parliament so far.

However, I would like to address a few important points: in terms of legal compliance, could you help me clarify the procedure to follow? I plan to fly with a Chimera 4 and a Betafpv 95X V3, both equipped with a Caddx Vista, and therefore weighing less than 250g in all cases.

I have never created an Alpha Tango account because I encountered difficulties; would it be necessary to take additional steps in this regard?

Furthermore, if I am allowed to fly outdoors with the Chimera 4, could you advise me on the optimal time and provide tips to achieve the best results?

I am currently using a Caddx Peanut (Go2). However, I wonder if it would be worth investing in a higher quality GoPro naked for this occasion. What do you think?

And if you have any other suggestions or need further details, I am at your service.

Yeah, it's a bit crazy... I'm like in high school ? In France it's called "lycée" (I'm nearly 18 years old), and there's this activity called MUN where we simulate things just like in parliament, and I'm a journalist. I asked my professor if I could use my FPV drones, and he was like, "Hell yeah!" A few phone calls later and I was in, and actually, they are very exited about it. Although they haven't called me yet for the last details, it's basically settled. So, I'd say it's all thanks to connections ?
(I have no idea if I'm allowed to say this, so use this infos at your own discresion ? 🤔)

Tho, I would recommend you do the alpha tango formation, it's utterly useless to us fpv people, but they will require you to do it anyway, and they also assume you already did it

And you might end up in hot water if they find out you have been a naughty boy and haven't done the magical alpha tango formation

I just read the easa page about the open category, and you need an alpha tango registration regardless of weight since it's an fpv quad

Other than the alpha tango, all they say is basically don't fly into people, don't fly over groups of people, and stay under 120m

Btw, did you know the sub250g bullshit rule was actually created by a french man ? That got that magical number for fuck knows where since he never disclosed it and just said that anything over 250g is dangerous

Even if honestly if they really went for safety they should make ducts mandatory and make them sub 120g, cause there it's just saying duck you, we just want you out of the sky

If you cruise, you should be at around like 10A, my 5" cruises at 9.5A

Lipos are really for freestyle where you need the lower sag and higher output power

They where made to work on the flywoo explorer lr4, and the chimera lr4 is basically a direct copy of the explorer, so it should work really well with it

(just beware of the different voltage cutoff of a li-ion compared to a Li-Po)
