I didnt solder my VTX as seen up there

#

Its supposed to be plugged

#

and the plug pins are all right

#

Important thing to note

#

The short only happens 9/10 times

#

Sometimes even with the O3 connected it does work and power on fully (All 5 beeps)

#

Now it worked for example

#

O3 connected and drone powers up

#

What could this weird stuff be?

Usually really known for its reliability

#

have you tried the higher current setting? The O3 is a fairly power hungry device, it's possible that when it starts up it just draws enough current on its own to trip the smoke stopper

ye

knotty geode
#

worked on the first try

#

Worked on the second

#

and hereby already a new record

#

Could that explain the inconsistency

#

On why it works sometimes and why not

serene crescent
#

the O3 can pull like 16-18W on its own

#

So no shorts

serene crescent
#

how long it takes for it to start up can change if the smoke stopper trips or not

knotty geode
#

Im scared to try without smoke stopper incase it is a short

#

Dont want no crispy FC

serene crescent
#

if it worked just fine with the 2A setting on the smoke stopper and nothing else tripped it, it should be good

#

Did a power on and off now 5 times no shutoff after the 5th beep

knotty geode
#

That might be it

#

I completely forgot that

#

My brain instantly went to short

# knotty geode How?

it's a small arc that comes from the current flowing and charging up the capacitors

knotty geode
#

Its the same pop that happens in the XT connector right?

#

The one that can cause little black burn marks?

serene crescent
#

it is a pop from the XT60
