We use rotary torque sensors at work, they dont come cheap (we use large ones) and you need to apply a load to the motor
Do you have a recommendation for a load cell ?
Because every one's I find is either some 1000$ industrial thing to measure way bigger motors than I need, or it's some 6$ thing
Or a rotary torque sensor
But the only ones I saw needed me to ask for a quote, so I would assume they are worth more than I want to spend
Actually, I can't use a rotary torque meter, since I also want to measure the torque required to spin a prop
The sensors we use go between the motor and the pump
The pump ?
Yeah, we use the sensor to find the, rpm, torque, HP, required to spin a water pump
Oh
Well I'm not sure if I could use this regardless since I need to also measure the torque required to spin a prop at a given rpm
I don't know much about which is good or bad in terms of load cells.
Ok
Well thanks for your time anyway
