#Hi, I want to start flying fpv
806 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
the Eachine EV800D goggles are still about the best budget goggles you can get, but for $500 you have a bit more room to spend on proper ones like the Skyzone Cobra X
Radiomaster radios are still good, but they have managed to get the cost of entry even lower - the Pocket is a great inexpensive ELRS radio. If you want to, you can spend a bit more for the TX12 MK II, Zorro, or Boxer
not really. my budget is a firm 500
I really appreciate the help
I remember choosing the ev800d because I need room for glasses in goggles
The Cobra's will accomodate glasses much better
as for the drone... do you want to fly inside or outdoors?
I want to fly outside
but in the future I would like to try some 1s zoomer
I remember doing some research for tinyape and it's good enough outside
5inch drones are heavier and more likely to break
that's why I choose the 3inch tinyape
100 for controller
250 for cobra x
130 tinyape
50 charger
8 additional props
573 $ total
without shipping
with radiomaster pocket it would be 558
can't do cobra x :/
ev800d is for 95
is there something for like 150?
I would strongly advise against Darwin BNFs and products in general
The Radiomaster Pocket is like $65
found it for 85
would you have anything better to suggest?
the MSRP is $65 USD
in the EU it may be more expensive, but still not that much I think

get a Happymodel Crux3 and a ViFly Whoopstor V3 charger - it would be an inexpensive 1s setup
banggood sucks, forget about that
oh ok
Either get the things from AliExpress, or locally
ok I will check these out
this?
lol way cheaper than darwin
that's the 35
well yeah, but it runs on 4s batteries, and those would require a significantly more expensive charging setup
A 1s Quad carries 30gram HD camera, pretty well. Rips even better without😁 I didn't include all that many of my crashes, kinda tedious process.
Crux3 1s ELRS Available from
Banggood - https://bit.ly/3Gaih73 (Coupon "BGNickBurns" 8% off)
MakerFire - https://bit.ly/3vD2tok (Coupon "NickBurns" for 5% off)
AliExpress - https://bit.ly/3CltzTT
Expre...
tell for yourself if it's enough
I mean it's alright
but 35 is 25% off
charger you mentioned earlier is rated up to 6s
if this charger can handle 3s batteries
it would be for 463$
with cobra x
...for input
?
it can be powered from a 6s battery
oh
but it will only charge 1s batteries
that is only a power supply for the whoopstor charger
yea
a charger capable of charging 4s batteries would cost at least like $40, and would require a $20-50 PSU
which is why I recommend the 1s Crux3
a lot, since glasses would most likely not fit under the EV800DM
it has a much better video receiver which you can even upgrade later on
okay fair
I have found a comparison between them
Caddx Ratel camera, 3" custom built drone.
yea
way smoother
and it's the v2
I guess v4 would be even better
@upbeat urchin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWnN4AwtHcg
I have made an awesome cheap FPV Goggles with a 20$ FPV USB adapter for my smartphone! I'm using Xiaomi Mi9 Lite 200 eur phone in this video but almost any smarthone would work Android ir iPhone.
My Diatone R349 FPV kit including new cheap Goggles
FPV USB Adapter: Eachine ROTG02 UVC OTG - https://www.banggood.com/custlink/vKmRhIGR6F
Phone VR ...
look what I found
cheap
my phone is 90hz
high quality oled
no
how bad can it be?
...and the cheap phone FPV receivers have terrible latency no matter what
does not matter how fast your phone is
when the underlying source is still crap
maybe I could find a high quality phone receiver
250 for goggles is way too expensive for me
that does not exist to the best of my knowledge
this one is 100ms
bad
- $250 for Skyzone Cobra X goggles
- $120 for Crux 3 toothpick
- $65 for Radiomaster Pocket ELRS
Comes to a total of $435, leaving you with $65 for a charger and batteries
what charger would you recommend?
im trying to find something good, but im kind of confused
what charger would you recommend for 1s
or 3s
im kind of thinking about getting some more money to get the crux35
the Whoopstor V3 is really god for 1s
for higher cell count batteries, I'd recommend at least the ToolkitRC M7 charger + the ToolkitRC 100/180W PSU
or ideally a Hota D6 Pro charger
ah
both of them are expensive
but I get it
it has to be good, or the batteries may die or even worse explode
i've seen videos of that
thank you very much for help, I'll think about it more
it's a lot of money for hobby xd
yeah im thinking about it
I would buy the crux3 and ev800dm
or ev800d
or crux35 and ev800dm
I should be able to fit in budget
Im now making an excel spreadsheet to calculate everything
Yes, USB PD would work
with 5 batteries
and now im searching for spare props
bruh I can't find any on aliexpres
I don't think that crux has a t-mount
okay, thank you
bruh wrong controller
it has to be elrs
I chose the cc2500
why elrs is more expensive?
cheapest elrs is 72
any suggestions?
BT2.0 connectors
?
what do you not understand?
what is a bt2.0 connector
for what is it
it's the battery connector?
idk
please explain
I need to buy them?
it's a connector for the battery which performs a lot better than the stock PH2.0
JumperRC T-lite is a really good budget radio
no point in that when the Pocket exists
it fits two 18650 cells, so it lasts longer and can run ELRS at higher power
m4ac
im a lil late
but the m4ac is a phenominal 4s charger for 30$
lost my quad now and my charger is still going strong
I have an option to buy the crux35 drone, and it uses 3s
can m4ac charge 3s batteries?
crux 35 uses 4s
oh
m4ac charges 2-4s
where are you ordering from
aliexpres
what country
eu
depending you can go on rdq or getfpv and get wayyy better prices than ali
poland
lol
lmao
I would strongly recommend not cheaping out on the one device that can actually pose a serious fire risk
if you know what you're doing, it's maybe fine. But especially as a beginner who may not know a lot about the risks and how to prevent them, a charger that is known to be properly safe is much better
and worth the extra money
I will consider that
Just wait till you start crashing it and you have to buy replacement parts and tools.
- these batteries
340~ for everything
did I forget anything?
What products are you buying ?
the main compatability thing to look for is the control link protocol (i.e. ELRS). Both must use the same protocol to be compatible
I've also heard that the -M version of the EV800's aren't any good. Ppl usually recommend the EV800D (without the M)
Also check that your battery and charger use the same plug (and battery+drone for that matter). If they're different just note that you'll need to buy a little adapter
also check whether or not that charger needs a separate power supply (charger only takes 12v) or not (charger can be plugged directly into wall)
just googled it quickly and judging by this post, it has an internal battery stock https://www.reddit.com/r/fpv/comments/1172qir/i_moved_the_internal_battery_from_my_ev800dm_to/
search this server for "ev800dm" though. Seems like the M version is just all around bad
I will reconsider them then
I chose them initially because they allegedly have more space for glasses
but im kind off thinking about the cobra sd
they seem cool
If you upgrade to the cobras, I've heard that you should either just go straight to the X V2, or stay with the EV800D, cause the SD isn't good enough to justity the price
I think the EV800D are okay at incorporating glasses but you might want to google that
or even search this server. It's got enough history that you could probably find an answer that way
especially this info here
thank you very much
no problem, yeah the compatability stuff seems to get so unneccesarily overcomplicated but it's basically just "both must use ELRS"
lol
and all analog video systems are compatible so that's even easier
Well, the cobra SD have 480p screens, where has the x v2 has 720p screens, and the SD has a cheaper receiver, who's name isn't even on the product page, it just says "diversity" where has the x v2's have a steady view receiver, there also is the new fatshark echo that might be worth a look, it's the same price has the ev800d I believe
there ya go, thanks 👍 never heard of the Echo but looks like it's new
Also, the cobra SD has an upgradable receiver, where has I believe you cannot upgrade the ev800d receiver
It is, and it's from fatshark, so it's probably good, that being said, they don't have diversity
do they at least have that internal patch type thingy like that Scout version does? or is it just another product aimed at fatshark fanboys
I don't believe they did the same d*mb ass thing where they put 4 patch antennas at the front of the goggles without letting you swap them
it's just a reflex since on other servers you have bots that will give you a warnings/mute/kick etc if you don't censor it
I know, I would assume you'd need to censor the latter word though lol
nah, they are still too dumb, you just need to censor it the strick minimum and it passes
nonono i mean
"dumb" isn't the swear word
The "ass" ? I mean, one is factually like a real thing, where has the other one is a degrading concept
I assume, cause it's usually the one I see being censored
but you make a good point
I'm no expert in expletives
we're more than a drone community
I've seen ppl come here for relationship and mental health advice
I cannot comment as to the soundness of the advice given though
lol
I mean
people try to give good advice
as far I omly received positive feedback
everyone are nice c:
Yep this place seems to be the best structured but also most friendly
usually you only get one or the other and end up with ppl with superiority complexes, or absolute channel chaos lol
POINT in LITERAL CASE
lol
We call that natural selection, idiots get banned and you end up with a filtered server
Personally I usually end up with people that didn't yet understand the dunning Kruger effect
lol that's also a fun one to deal with
I appreciate people who want to take on projects they don't yet understand
but
the majority of cases are people who put themselves at a disadvantage and risk, then leave the hobby having made multiple people biased against getting into drones
I love people who assume they understand every aspect of the hobby after half an hour of YouTube, such has a guy before who wanted to do a 9" racing drone with 18650s
then they fight back against you when you tell them that they're gonna burn their house down
No, but he apparently found magical "100A rated 18650s with minimal voltage sag"
I instead told him he was going to burn his quad down
To this tho he fought back
Or that he was going to burn himself down because if he thinks using magical 18650s is a good idea for racing, I don't know what other brilliant idea he will have
I wonder if he burn himself down yet
Wait until you discover all the jokes around the size of quads
fat sharks scout are great
great quality
and i've found a nice deal for 200 usd for them
why would you get a low res, built-in antenna goggle when you can get the Cobra X, which is digital-module-ready, for basically the same price
I mean, they're probably not the worst, but 200 seems excessive
I dunno
im trying to squeeze in some nice goggles into my budget
im left with 30$ for a charger
if I get them for 200$
I have ev800d for 90$
but the fatshark scout has almost double resolution and is nicer
1136 X 640
it's almost hd
and I do not plan to buy a digital camera
stuff too expensive
wait which Scout
i just remembered there's multiple i think?
these
the're at 53% discount
aaand whe're left with 10 usd for a charger
I can stretch it to 40
or we could find some cheaper batteries on banggood
@willow herald
sorry for pinging
it's getting late, let's get back to it tommorow
yeah, they just recycle the thing over and over, they have like 2 mould they have been using since the start, and there is so many scouts
or else, you get the cobra x v2, and a crux3 instead of crux 35, bonus is that you will be able to get more batteries
and not have to strech the budget, plus a crux3 is basically indestructible because of how light it is, so there won't be much added cost later because you broke stuff on your drone
a toothpick does have power
the point of a toothpick is to maximise the power to weight ratio
that's why the crux35
the crux35 is hardly a toothpick
yeah, but also more expensive, and more likely to get lost forever in a tree, if you are just starting up, less power doesn't mean it's bad
also, there is a reason why we don't all just fly 5" toothpick with ridiculous power to weight ratio, you don't need the quad to jump to the moon at 50% throttle
I'll get the scouts
stretch the budget for a charger
and since I bought these scouts so cheap, I could resell them after I get more serious with fpv
call me stupid but I really want the crux35
the scout doesn't have diversity, so that's not really ideal
what kind of diversity?
Buying scouts now and reselling later will leave you at a loss, if you manage to sell them at all lol
diversity is when the goggles can have 2 antennas
and it is much better than having only one
cause now you can have both a directional antenna for more penetration, and an omni for the rest
that, but also be able to actively switch between the antennas iirc. Some super cheap goggles just have two antenna connectors and they probably are both connected lol
uh
more antenna = better
that's also a possibility
it would let you get more futur proof stuff so you won't have to throw away half of the gear you bought once you decide to get something nicer
yeah, it would be more responsible to do that
it's your call
maybe I could cut on cheaper, and get only 3 batteries, a cheaper charger and make some money
maybe it will fit in 600$
don't cheap out on the one thing that can burn ye house down
it's your house
you get it
if the school burns it's even worse
yeah I get it
could you help me find a good 4s charger?
on banggood preferably
and batteries also are confusing
same specs, way different prices
I would say get a 6s charger so once you get to 6s you don't have to buy a new one
I don't think I ever will
get cnhl batteries
they are cheap but reliable, so pretty good for beginners
ok ok
so if you panckage them, it isn't has bad has like a 30-40$ tattu or gnb battery
I'll search for them tommorow
I've closed my pc already
I am worried about the charger
I only need it for up to 4s
I won't be getting into more powerful drones
I think it's pretty standard for anything capable of multiple cells to go up to 6s? If it isn't, it's probably a really janky charger
I dunno
i just doubt youd save any money looking for something 4s only
I don't really get why they're so expensive
they're like from 20 usd to 100 usd
is it because of the safety features?
or what
For one, some of them require a separately purchased external AC->DC power supply (they only accept DC), while others do the AC/DC conversion internally, so they can just be plugged into the wall
yeah, that's reasonable
I need to think all of this through
maybe it is better to buy the cheaper crux3 with better goggles
and later it's cheaper to upgrade to crux35
it will be just drone+ batteries
I'm going to sleep
gn bro and thanks for all the help today
I really appreciate it, I've learned a lot
Yes
I know that those thread has been going for a while, but I built my own 5 inch drone and got ev800ds and a radiomaster pocket for less than $500
I can see it being possible
but I think about getting some better goggles
Batteries&charger included ?
I'm not sure about the charger, but I'm pretty sure the battery yeah
I'll check when I get home
Ok
4s or 6s ?
6s
can someone reccomend a nice charger?
nice, not too expensive
I am searching on banggood
I've been using the ISDT 608AC
also this is what it cost, including the charger
and you'd need a solding iron and some solder
Hota D6 Pro
isdt608ac is the cheapest multicell charger worth having (with an integrated psu)
I would advise against the fatshark scoots, has they don't have diversity, so you won't ever be able to say run an omnidirectional antenna and a directional antenna, Wich will close a lot of gates, especially for the price of the scoots, and you also with only 2 batteries will only have about like 10min of flight time in total, so you should probably spend less on the goggles, and a bit more on the batteries, also, you got the wrong charger
If you go with a DC charger (without a power supply inside it) go with toolkit rc
You could go for ev800d instead yeah
The fatsharks kind of sucks, they are 80$ more expensive and don't have diversity
it's 2, 2 pack batteries
so 4
i'll check the charger
and the goggles, because right now you are only spending more for the sake of spending more, and getting a worst product at the end
Both are better than the fatshark
?
Cobra x v2/4 (the v4 is just a different firmware, same hardware) will give you a lot more and will be more futur proof, and more compact, where has the ev800d will be much cheaper has a first goggles
I would do ev800d if you are looking to get something good for cheap
They are basically the budget king
Not really
They have very low resolution screens, 480*272, it's half of what the ev800d has
ok nvm then
So they will only output half of the resolution of an analog signal
There is a reason why the ev800d is the one we recommend on a budget
personally and i know others will agree id say drop the idst and get a toolkitrc m7dc and the toolkitrc adp100
Yeah, toolkit makes better chargers than isdt if they don't have an integrated psu, if you want a cheap charger with an integrated psu, then it would be ISDT tho
I think I will buy this
I chose the b6 neo because it can be powered with usb c
and I bought the xt30 to xt60 adapter separately
and it has like an 80% failure rate from some tests
... and ZOP lipos are just as bad, if not more
If it can be powered from C, then it likely doesn't have enough power to charge a lipo within a reasonable amount of time lol
USB PD can do a fair amount of wattage
True, but I'd assume OP plans to use it with an average 5W phone charger
you can get USB PD cables that spoof your power brick to the max output voltage and give you an XT60 on the other end
that also works
If you already have a sufficiently powered ACDC thing then that works
im confused with batteries and chargers
and I don't want to spend 100$ on a charger
Hey, you can spend $15 on a charger then 300k on a new house
But just ask what you're confused about
There are no dumb questions
Especially when it comes to making safe electronics choices
thank you
so
I need to have correct number of s
for my drone it would be 3-4s (im going for the 4s)
and mah is the capacity
1100 is max on this drone
is cnhl a good manufacturer
?
for batteries
you should stay around 850mAh for the best performance
yes, CNHL has great batteries for a decent price
higher capacity could mean longer flight time, but it also means higher weight, meaning worse performance
There comes a point where adding capacity (weight) actually just weighs the drone down and makes it work harder, leading tolower flight time

You really only wanna push that limit if you have zero interest in freestyle and just want to maximize air time
I see that 4s are about 90-150 grams
150 is for high capacity
1100 mah
I would buy one of those just to fly around
and 3 lighter ones
is this good price or am I overpayin on banggood?
you can check on the official CNHL website
lol
on cnhl website it's more expensive
oh nvm
it's for 2 pack
110g for 850 mah
is good?
120 for 1000mah
better
maybe there is another good cheap manufacturer? almost all of their batteries are out of stock
and shipping unavailable for poland
cnhl is the most reliable cheap battery manufacturer, you are venturing into sketchy territory if you try to go lower in price or get has cheap batteries from somebody else
welcome to fpv, nothing is ever in stock, everything breaks, everything is expensive, but at the end it's worth it
I hate it here
im slowly going insane
im gonna keep going
I need that drone
it's personal now
wait until you gotta troubleshoot issues that make no sense, or just bind elrs and learn how to use betaflight
I hate it here
im slowly going insane
im gonna keep going
I need that drone
it's personal now
Average FPV experience
you are only starting the torture
we all passed by there
I passed two days trying to make my first drone work and it wasn't fun
then I lost it 5 days later
even worse
and the camera broke
then the aio broke, then the antenna broke, then the camera broke (again), then the motors broke, then the frame broke, now it's a 3" toothpick
and now I broke the mounting of one of the motors so it sits sideways
but now I don't have any issues anymore
except my brand new 5" has one less antenna and a broken xt60
breaking stuff is also part of the fun
I am going insane
it's only the begining
adults playing with toy drones
okay
I need a 850-1100mah battery from cnhl
without overpaying masively for the battery or shipment
can't find it tho
very nice song btw
then wait
I can't
or get another capacity
the goggles are 40% off for 2 days
order directly from chinahobbyline.com
then buy in two times
im trying but stuff is either out of stock
or doesn't ship to poland
just buy in multiple times
pretty sure the EU cnhl warehouse is either in poland or netherlands
this good?
you will save more with the 40% off the cobra x v2s and buying in two times, than waiting to buy in one time
and is there a difference between xt30 and xt30u
the xt30u is the upgraded version of the xt30
I believe
it will do it's job yes
it won't blow your mind in any particular way has a battery, but it is good
that is just a normal/cheap price for shipping
I had to pay the shipping of my cnhl batteries (4 6s batteries) 30euros when I first got into fpv
ig that's worse
also, shipping will end up being like a fifth of the price of fpv because of how many cheap stupid stuff you will have to buy 20 times a year and pay shipping each time
okay
4 batteries
70~$
good
maybe later I will buy more
4 is enough
on the website it says it should fly for 9-15 minutes on 850 mah battery
so good
I would say 4 is the minimum, but I also really like flying a long time
if you just hover
in real life, you get like 4-5min per batteries
keep in mind it takes 1h-30min to charge a battery (depending on if you charge from storage or from empty)
so depending on the charger, you might not want to get a load of batteries if you will only have one charger at the end
okay then 4
good point
70$
I have 627 dolars in my bank account
that's now our budget
I will eat grass this month
we ballin
that's your money, but also, what if you don't actually fly has much has you thought ? or that you don't like fpv at the end ? don't get in debt over a hobby
also, the skyrc b6 nano needs an external psu
I live with my parent
I'll be fine
I can use a phone charger
I have 40w one
at least in theory
did you check the voltage range on the charger and if it had usb c ?
This is the point at which you know you're invested in FPV for life
and the minimum w of the charger
uh
of the b6
I can't find the minimum wattage
it says max 80w
it has usb c
and it takes 12-20 v
most phone bricks only output 5v
still too low anyway
isdt608ac
anythink lower won't viable?
anything lower will be exponentially more sketchy
if you don't want an expensive charger, go 1s, I personnally just finished building my 3" 1s toothpick, and even with a completely broken tune, it flies awsome, and has a lot of power
and also makes no noise
if I had the choice, I'd rather get good equipment and a tinywhoop then get a larger drone+batteries+charger later
here is a good video to demonstrate how it flies
e.g. I'd dake a Boxer plus tinywhoop (with intent to get a bigger quad later) over a Pocket and a 5"
getting a 1s rn would cut like 50$
by kababfpv who kind of invented the whole toothpick thing
not really
I would only cut a little bit on a drone and 50$ off batteries
subtract the batteries, charger, and some from the quad. Could be ~100 saved I'm guessing?
I would have to buy the charger eventually
yeah, but it will be a better one
yes, but the goal is to cut down on the initial cost and safe for big drone setup later
and for now you can have a really great quad without having to cheap out on anything
I buy this now
and get back to drawing furry porn for money
and then buy batteries
in like 1/2 weeks
I mean sure but that just delays flying lol, plus you have a smaller transmitter
(imo it's soooo worth it to have boxer-sized gimbals)
(it's really up to you)
basically, small gimbal sucks, and the bigger the gimbal the better
there's something wrong with the radiomaster pocket?
cause you have more throttle resolution
the gimbals are tiny
it's lightyears ahead of something like a FlySky, and it's ELRS. But if you can rearrange your budget to afford it, I'd recommend considering the Boxer, cause it uses much larger gimbals. And the transmitter is something you want to buy nice one time, whereas it's much more reasonable to buy a cheap or small drone for now and get another one later
not really, since the pocket is physically smaller
it will just be a weird mix
I think that would get janky with the folding boxer sticks. Plus it's a small transmitter so using longer sticks wouldn't really be helpful if you can barely reach them lol
If you're fine with smaller transmitters then that's totally fine, the pocket is a great radio, but most people like larger gimbals
I did fly on a thing like this
plus it'd be much easier on your budget to go for a tinywhoop
xbox controllers simply suck at fpv, litterally anything is better, it isn't a good point of reference
ye xd
the instant you will grab a real fpv controller you will realize how much it sucks
Just to illustrate my point, here is a boxer gimbal compared to an Xbox gimbal
is there any good radio for 100$?
Da boxer
The only thing I dislike about it is that they use their dumb rectangular gimbals instead of the square ones used by the tango 2 or the mambo
I've always been curious, do the gimbals actually have a rectangular throw?
actually... at that point I guess you'd need to ask if you're talking horizontal only, or if you're considering the curvature lol
I suppose the horizontal travel would look like this
I would assume that it is because of the thick "bezel" it is actually feels more square-ish
it isn't actually a rounded square, it feels like that because the thing you are rocking is round, but in reality, it is a square with 90 degree angles
yeah, but I would have preffered they would have used full sized gimbals, instead of the slightly smaller than full sized gimbals they use on the tx16s mkii
that would be referring to tracing the stick end to a flat plane, but yes the actual inputs will be perfectly linear
never knew the MKII used smaller gimbals. Even less reason to get them lol
the stick travel too
yeah, and they use the same on the boxer, I believe some taranis radios actually did use full travel gimbals, I don't know if it is the real name for this kind of gimbal, but I heard some people like kababfpv call this like that, but also, the taranis with them are chonky, and I believe the tbs mambo/tango2 has bigger gimbals than the boxer
I don't think there's actually a naming/measurement system for gimbal sizes lol
Though I've owned a DX5e, TX12, and flysky, and my tX16 which has noticeably large gimbals
yeah, but there are general sizes you can put them in
the tx16 had the bigger gimbals ?
theoretically
what 1s drones would you recommend?
mobula7 1s or crux3
8 is 2s and that’s the o3 model and for that price it’s not coming w a camera/vtx
building your own babytooth like quad
it will give you the most power 1s can provide
I think im too stupid for that
also, the mobula 8 is an 80mm whoop, the mobula 7 is a 70mm whoop
okay then 7 it is
it's really easy, you only have like 4 components in total
I wanna see how much cheaper would 1s be than 4s
you just need to solder the motors, and eventually the camera, and it is the only half technical part
and you will get longer flight time than with a 75mm whoop, at least that's my experience after transforming my open prop 75mm into a 3" toothpick, it went from 3min of cruising, to 5min
or you could get a crux3 1s, it has kind of the same specs has the babytooth, so it should fly the same
mhm
would building my own whoop be cheaper?
it would be nice if it is
and a good learning experience
you won't save money buy building unfortunatly
nope
I would have liked to, it would have let more people get into fpv by building, but bnf are cheaper than building with the exact same specs
lemme cook
im researching
1s
for a mobula 7 it would be 566$
for the crux35 4s it would be 640
so I save 74 $
imo not worth
there is more to consider, with the mobula 7, you will have way more batteries, so more flightime, you will be able to fly inside, so no need to have to go outside to fly, wich is actually a pretty big psychological barrier, where has here, you just plug it in, and while still being at your desk you can go fly
and you won't ever break or loose a mobula 7
will mobula7 have similiar range to curx35?
just curious
does it depend on the drone, or more on the goggles
both, there are 4 variables to range, the enviroment (how much stuff is between you and the drone), the vtx power output (1w will go further than 25mw, when you quadruple the mw, you double the range), the antennas (20 turns directional helical antennas will have more range than a piece of copper wire sticking out of the goggles) and the receiver on the goggles (a tbs rapidfire will have more range than an aliexpress special no name receiver)
I need to start making notes
I have never met more helpfull community than you guys
thank you for clearing things for me
I apreciate it
it's why I am here
thank you for being here
vitroid earlier reccomended me a whoopstor 3 charger
but it has to have an external psu so it will cost almost the same as the one you reccomended
they have the same vtx output power, so with the same antenna, goggles, and environment, yes
it can charge 6 batteries at a time tho
I mean it's nice
I think about getting a good goggles, radio and a cheaper drone, charger and batteries
and check how much would I have to pay later to "upgrade" to 4s
you stick with the cobra x v2, get a boxer, crux3, some 750/600mah 1s batteries, the whoopstor v3, a psu, and voila
the same time has any other batteries
right?
30min if it is from storage, 1h if it is from empty
oh
if you want it to explode yes
but you can charge more 1s batteries at a time
yeah
so
I save 70~$ if I get a 1s
but then I would have to pay like 270~ to get to 4s
but mainly you will be able to have better hardware from the start
the boxer is really nice tho
not necesserally
im slowly going insane
I started from 500$ budget
and thought it will be enough to get a really nice drone
now im contemplating life trying to fit in 700$
lol
same, but I ended up with a 1000 euros buy in, and I ended up at 2600euro today after 3 months
lmao
darkman is at 6000$
in a year and a half
usually, unecessary hobbies attract people that can throw money out the window, if you don't believe me, go look at the keyboard and audio hobby
yeah
xD
I kinda want a more outside drone
I live currently in a boarding school and trying to find hobbies outside
my first 2 years i've spent in front of my pc
and I want to change that with a nice outside hobby
i've tried biking...
but someone stole my bike
I spent the last 7 years infront of a pc, what are you complaining about
also, instead of sitting infront of a computer, you will sit on a rock or something watching the world throught a different screen that sticks to your face instead of being two foot away from your face
so if the only motivation is going outside, eh, it's debatable
it's not the only motivation
im having wet dreams about drones for the past 2 year
I would have bought tinyape in 2022 but I broke my laptop and had to buy something
one perk of a tinyape is that you will be able to learn how to repair a drone the instant it arrives in the mail
lol
394 casualties reported in the DarwinFPV warehouse
so after all this
it's finaly here
thank you guys, I wouldn't have done it without you :D
2 years later xD
dron
3 if you count from the begining
👴
Oh my god
powerloop footage or ur lying
well batteries still haven't arrived
once I get everything I will show you :D
rn I have issue with goggles
connected
throttle position works
but no video
HES TELLING THE TRUTH !
zajebiste!
ive got the crux 35 that you wanted 2 years ago and its more of an outdoors ripper
im thinking about the air 65 now
you have a air 65 racing?
