#Issue with ESC calibration

Hello everyone, I'm experiencing problems with ESC calibration when using the controller, or at least that's what I believe is happening. I managed to calibrate the ESC through INAV, and I can operate the motors within INAV. However, when I attempt to calibrate the ESC using the controller, it doesn't work. I also added a screenshot of my modes tab in INAV.

ESC: SpeedyBee 50A BLHeli_32 4-in-1 ESC

maybe because that channel is set for the Buzzer mode?

This are all the modes set in INAV. CH 5 is only use to arm

@hidden cave did you check what INAV is telling you is happening when you try to arm?

#

it's not arming

#

your radio throttle is not getting sent directly to ESCs, that's not how drones work anyway, so that's not how you do calibration..

#

Also, excuse me, but WTF?

the pocket exists in ELRS variant, and an ELRS receiver costs no more than that D8

#

and ELRS will give you, not joking, probably 50x more range

D8 meanwhile will give you abysmal range

#

it's one of the lowest range protocols left in the hobby..

#

seeing you put GPS on something that won't leave line of sight is a bit oof

If you have GPS enabled in INAV, it will NOT arm until you have a GPS lock, and it will beep like this when you try to arm

#

This has nothing to do with calibration or anything else

#

For the love of god wrap your motor wires, you should have heat-shrunk them the moment they were installed

Thanks for the information. I'm working on a project where I aim to swiftly assemble a drone capable of maintaining its position autonomously, so INAV POSHOLD. The majority of the components were selected based on their ability to fulfill the requirements, cost-effectiveness, and availability for one-day delivery.

so, what error is INAV telling you when you try to arm?

I removed everything related to the GPS, even disconnected the module, but I still get the same behavior

?

CLI does not output anything

something like that

If you mean the log, then nothing happens whens I arm

Ah yes, the absolutely critical process of accelerometer calibration has not yet been completed

I think we now know what the problem is, let me try
