#Beta flight not showing input on controller

What BF version?
It's the latest version
That's Betaflight Configurator, not Betaflight.
Oh, sorry not the knowledgeable on this stuff
How would that work? That receiver outputs only PWM.
How did you wire it up and to what FC?
FC
F411evo
I was answering your q
Anyway, the ia6 doesn't output anything useful for a modern FC
It's only got per channel PWM, like for driving servos and shit.
I mean I can cancel it
But that thing is exceptionally unreliable
Literally bought it 10 min ago
Why did you end up with flysky stuff anyway?
I was going to get a f14+ but it's shipping was 3 weeks
Bought the drone used
I see.
Is the a8s good for a bit until I upgrade to F14+?
What size drone?
4"
Well, that kinda limits you to the crap ones
Crappy is better than nothing
Generally, X6B is good, but it's half the size of a 30x30 fc
Hmm okay, 3 week shipping fun.
just switch to elrs already
Are you sure there's no way the FS-ia6 will work? Just wanna make sure that my wiring isn't the problem
What's elrs?
I've never tinkered with drones before so I'm new to this.
Well, the ia6 can be hacked to output a pseudo IBUS signal
But I can't give any guarantees about thaz
How would I do that
How did you wire it up anyway? There shouldn't be any wiring that makes sense.
Positive, negative, rx
But the ia6 has a bunch of outputs?
Uhhhh idk I literally put it in ch1-6 and the b/vcc
Send pic
Unfortunately there are many thingies and none of them output a serial or combined signal
Soo, the hack... sec
That pin on that chip outputs an almost IBUS signal that a FC should be able to deal with
So I wire that into RX?
And positive, negative will be fine on the channel thing?
So that it can have power
Yup
W
I'm going to try and fix it
Looks better I guess, isn't touching the other pins.
If you have a multimeter, check for shorts
Nope
Oook
How do I check that the controller will turn on motors
That comes later.
Sounds good
First you need to make sure that it can tell the FC when it loses signal
#1151629129863663756 message
Is that through the controller or configurator
I wrote it up here
Both
It's a IBUS specific issue
Imma have to go now
You want to set up an arming switch
Okay thanks, I'll look throught that, also should I still get a receiver?
To arm the drone
Or is this diy receiver fine.
It will only arm after disconnecting usb and power cycling it btw
Alright sounds good, thanks for the help! See ya
@harsh rover I'm online again, anything you're stuck at?
Got failsafe set up, battery died but prior to that when I tried arming it. Just kept beeping
The motor was also twitching but not spinning
