I have it wired up as in the picture, and I also checked that it is indeed getting the 5V that it requires. I did have to move my Smart Audio to the LED port and remap it to soft serial to free up the UART2 that the GPS is now using. I am a BF noob so i think the problem might be in setttings somewhere. I also tried using a different GPS protocol but it doesnt work. Not even the LED on the GPS is working. Any suggestions are a help, thanks

the fact that the GPS LED isnt even working might indicate there's a problem with the power supply
I put a multimeter on the GPS contacts and it is reading 5V
