Full stack is pointless on this drone. save weight and space with an AIO. you don't need 40A. 25a would be overkill, but 35a AIO are easier to find
1404 are too small for a freestyle 3.5". Botgrinder used 1605 on the prototype. anything from 1604 to 1804 would work. 3400kv. I'm planning 1804 3450kv RCInpower motors for my build.
Some people love RUNCAM PHOENIX 2 for cult like reasons, but a 14x14 camera would be a better match for a small quad. Caddx Ratel, Foxeer TRex nanos are some better camera options.

Alright thanks for the opinions

#

Anything else I should be aware of

#

And 1604-1804 3400kv for motors, right?

little coral
#

Yep. RCINpower would be my top pick. The Umagawd motors Bot used have a weird shaft size so prop choice would be more limited. But those 1605 are about the same volume as 1804

#

people have dropped 2004 in this frame, though that's a bit overkill

Any other frames I should take a look at

#

The one I picked is out of stock

Diatone Roma f35

#

Any of those

#

Current weight without a frame is 166.7g

#

Aiming for a sub250 obviously

weary igloo
#

That frame's quite a steal

little coral
#

carniage is a single bottom plate, but a lot less weight. I fly the 3" version, and it's been a solid frame

weary igloo
#

But the motor size is 1505

#

Recommended motor sizes 1404, 1504.5, 1505

little coral
#

it's a lighter weight build, though 1404 would be too small still. 1505 would be the minimum i'd recomend for a 3.5" unless you were going for an ultralight.

I see

I think another member here built his with 1804s.

weary igloo
#

So the 1804s would be fine

little coral
#

the only caviat with that frame is there is no 3d printed parts, you have to print or get them printed elsewhere.

I see

#

Do you know the weights of the v1/v2 carnage cuz the website doesn't say

#

Or like an approximation

I don't remember, i think the carbon was 17 grams on mine, plus all the standoffs and screws. Probably 30 grams, give or take?
