bad range on caddx vista with djii googles v2 (not the new ones)

hey, i was flying on an open field without any obstacle in between. i noticed aftert about 100 the google signal imediately dropped to almost loosing connection.
in one of the images u can see the distance and the field

i thought is is because the antenna of the vista is so close to the battery connection and therefore there is some electromagnetic interference with the signal.

i got the iflight xl5 frame and i can 3d print maybe a better mount for the antenna but idk wihch is good.
or maybe there is another way to fix this

What output power are you running at?

there's not that many settings in the goggles, im sure you'll find it.. probably under transmission or settings

here's a video that will guide you through it.
There's 2 parts, FCC unlocking it which will give you up to 700mw, and the next step is the 1200mw full power hack.
Both are btw completely safe, nothing to worry about

i assume the googles always need the sd card with the file to work, right? or is it just a one time turn on and then its set

next step would be replacing the antenna on the drone, the one you have currently is very bad.
also possible to upgrade antennas on your goggles if you havent already

can u give me recccomendations? i cannt change the front plate cause it already is a custom oe for an analog module

For the drone, look for something from TrueRC with a UFL antenna, such as the TrueRC singularity

TrueRC also makes some of the best goggle antennas for you, the X-air 5.8 mk2
