Solution is to just buy a new Caddx?
Unsolder the ground wire and move it to the spare ☝️ one
Unsolder the red clean it and re solder
i would say that the vista is fine as you shorted the power from your fc and since electricity follows the path of least resistance it was flowing through the wires and not the vista assuming it was the pads that were shorted and not a component on the vista. you should still check with a multimeter though before you connect it back up to power to ensure there are no shorts. if the vista is not getting power then you may of blown a diode or fuse, both can be replaced with enough skill time and of course flux.
I had tried that already
The short is in between the pads on the Caddx
which is confusing
Right it might be smoking from the pad but it can be be something connected to that part
ok, what’s the best way to resolve that
this happened after a crash, for context
was the vista connected directaly to the battery?
or was it going through a regulator
we need to figure out what happened to resolve the issue as it may be a regulator
Through a smoke stopper
through the FC
I’ll be home Wednesday
You first clean all the solder joints and try them one wire at a time to see if there is a short circuit
ok sure thing
no rush
im on holiday right now lol
