#ELRS frying

white rx and gray is tx
and you connect it to opposites on the FC
so rx wire on the receiver connects to TX on the fc
and tx to rx
basically
TX on FC > RX on Reciever
RX on FC > TX on Reciever
also your leaving alot of exposed wire, they could short
we need to see the section where it gets connected to the fc
so its a connector
the connector is prob wired wrong
can you tell uss the FC so we can look at the diagram?
if it was a VTX plug and you put 12v in a 5v then that would do it
...
Im pretty sure you connected a 5v reciever to 25v
that would def do it
better pic
yea the battery is usually used for VTX, not a tiny lil RX
you kinda fucked that up mate
next time you burn something and have a spare, maybe ask for help before powering up the second one
that is a rip tho
the FC is meant to be all plugs (pain)
oh
i havent looked at the fc
im just assuming that its soldering required cuz its a plug in
well not all plugs, it just is mostly plugs to be "easier"
1 sec
the lighter gray is white but it would blend with the background
same connector, just move the wires to where I said
what
The RX connector not VTX
yea thats what did it
1 sec
also when unplugging connectors, pull on the connector itself not the wires
Bro drew a whole ass diogram
yea
Alright. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like you're plugging the RX into a port that isn't specifically for the RX. You'll see it's the smaller one here, not the larger one for your O3 air unit.
I can't tell what's plugged in here, unfortunately.
But I believe it's for the RX.
yea they said they plugged it into the VTX port, meaning they put 25v into a 5v RX
Yes, but I don't see anyone saying to use the small RX port and I'm curious why
It's what the docs specify to use
What's doubly curious is there's already something in that port
yea, its easier to solder it on the pad tho
Is this the ideal solution for this user though?
As far as I know, iFlight will supply plugs for all types of receivers, including CRSF.
If this user has a CRSF plug, the ELRS receiver would be risk free plug and play.
Plus, what is currently in the RX port? I would like to know, in order to better formulate an answer.
Huh? The air unit's plugged in to the little port?
And it's powering on?!
That port should be at most 5V, and is usually for the receiver
Interesting
Is this how the Evoque is usually wired up?
Like is this how it came?
I don't know enough about the platform. I'll look into it later.
