Since I've built my quad I've not been able to get consistently good video signal to my goggles, I tried different bands, wiring setups, powers and recently got a new omni antenna for my goggles. Since changing a lot of things it has gotten better, originally I just never had good video, now I get nice crisp video in probably about 50% of flying orientations. Mainly it's when the drone antenna is blocked by the battery and GoPro, but it's also sometimes just not.
I use ev800d goggles which I know are cheap, could they possibly be the issue, there is no way for me to try different modules on them, just different antennas which I've done.
Equally could it be the vtx, I have a tmotor ft200 and have it all wired up correctly after checking and resoldering everything before. It's receiving 9v from the fc but it is rated for 7 to 36, should I maybe try giving it voltage off of the battery directly? I've tried different transmitting powers, the vtx goes up to 500mw but it still can't penetrate the battery and GoPro or give me dependable signal half the time.
For antennas I have a truerc ocp antenna, and the stock patch antenna on the goggles, with an extended truerc singularity omni on the drone, with which I have tried many orientations, so I don't believe it is an issue with antennas as I have tried different combinations of them and not much changes, just slightly better overall quality with the singularity.
I know analog is not meant to be good, but what I get puts me in a position where I can't trust that when I try moves or go around something that I will keep signal, I'm fine with small amounts of breakup but when I can barely see and there is stuttering, interference and rolling type effects I can't fly properly most of the time.
I recorded some dvr today where I played around with antennas and I'll be able to add some of it tomorrow, but any thoughts on ways to check parts of the system or a simple oversight I've made would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
), are you sure you're on the exact correct channel? Maybe smart audio or smth is messed up and it's not displaying the correct channel, but a nearby frequency?
